Awful company, awful service

My previous phone died very abruptly the day before I had to travel to see my dying grandfather for the last time--I went in to get some assistance and get a new phone and the Koodo rep sold me the worst phone I've ever had. The battery drains within a couple of hours even if I'm barely using it, and it is all told barely functional. When I went in to ask if I could trade it in and get a different phone, I was told I would have to pay them 900$ for this non functional piece of dreck before they would deign to let me pay them for a new phone. Terrible service, terrible company, I'll be switching as soon as my contract is up.

Signal coverage so poor that i believe…

Signal coverage so poor that i believe it is on purpose. I have never seen full bars on my iphone 6 using Koodo. Even standing on the top of the wall at citadel hill in the center of downtown halifax i did not get full signal. I switched to eastlink today and it is full bars everywhere (same phone). Big ol middle finger to koodo. Spent way too long giving these scam artists money. Good bye. I hope i never have to darken my life with your “””service””” ever again

I don't know where to begin

I don't know where to begin. Koodo is by far the worst provider I've ever had. They will charge you for roaming even when it's turned off, and you didn't use it. I talked to their customer service where they called me a liar, and refused to waive a $14 charge. This charge was made to my account 4 times when I only used my roaming twice. Customer service is next to impossible to get ahold of, and when I had a separate issue they blame it on their system and told me there was nothing they could do for me. I was set up for pre-authorized payments and they started taking the money out of my account at totally random times during the month. It caused me NSF fees for both my bank and Koodo account, and then they told me it's not their fault. I cancelled that, and next month I will be paying off my tab so I can get as far away from Koodo as possible. If anyone is reading all this, please spare yourself and never sign up with Koodo for anything.

regret change to koodo

I give every detail about my payment account to sales representative and koodo massed up. Try to contact customer service and take me hours to deal with machine. Website not working properly, phone call only deal with machine which keep trying to verify me if I am a human being, but function is totally failed. Live rep will be next day. I'm really regret change to Koodo.

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH KOODO MOBILE!!! THEY WILL RENAG AND CHANGE YOUR RATE AT ANY GIVEN TIME, EMPLOYEES NEED TO COMMUNICATE TO THE CUSTOMERS THAT THEIR RATE PLANS ARE NOT FIXED!!!!!!! THEY ARE A DISHONEST SNEAKY COMPANY.
IF YOU SIGNED UP DURING THEIR BLACK FRIDAY DEAL, CHECK YOUR RECORDS, CHANCES ARE YOUR RATE PLAN “MYSTERIOUSLY EXPIRED” TOO AND YOUR RATE WENT UP!!!

Koodo deceived me and put me on a plan and ruined my credit

I wanted to run from Telus and its plan so after completion of Telus I called Koodo without knowing they are a sub-category of Telus and I wanted a pay-as-you-go Cell internet. They deceived me and gave me the wrong product and a plan that was renewed every month and If I did not pay more charges would come. I canceled after two months and they started following me through third-party companies to pay them $234 instead of $94. I will share my experience with a newcomers' Telegram group of 30k and let others know about it.

Dishonesty

Dishonesty. And not accountable!!! Thats all i can say. I am charged way more now and i asked them why. And just told me that because the promo ends. But they didnt tell me that beforehand. They told me its gonna work until the end of contract. They deceived me . ! I am literally crying right now. Because of the big difference that i am charged now that im not even using because they Deceived me! Please dont do that!

I am NOT tech savvy. Pedro G at Koodo Yorkdale is very patient and generous w his time. He helped me deal w a few issues. Kept me calm despite my anxieties. He truly represents what the term”service” means. Thank you Pedro for your help You ARE amazing

Their customer service is terrible I…

Their customer service is terrible I have been with them for many years. So today I decided to switch to another company half the price just waiting for my sim to arrive. All I can say is do better much better!!!! And answer your phones when customers are trying to call and not keep them waiting for almost a half hour or more.

TERRIBLE Customer Service

I have never had an issue with my phone service, however Koodo has gone to AI customer service and it is the worst. It's impossible to speak to a real person to have issues resolved. I will be seeking a provider who, as Koodo used to, provides great customer service.

Unable to take accountability for problems that they have caused

I have been a customer for 10 years and haven't had an issue until now... and genuinely considering leaving. Koodo sent me a promo code for their Stream+ bundle for $10/month - which didn't work. Reached out to support, and they told me to purchase without the code and it would detect that I am eligible for the discount and be charged accordingly. But it didn't, instead charging $20/month, and after almost a month of going back and forth with support trying to get a credit or refund to resolve the issue, I'm now told Koodo CAN'T issue the refund, because the payment goes straight to the streaming service instead of them?! So the first 5 employees telling me yes, you can have a refund were all wrong and now you don't want to fix this a month later? Koodo is unable to take accountability for an issue they caused and created, and does not follow up on issues when they tell you they will be the one to contact you about the issue (also getting in touch with a real person is the worst, you have to jump through several hoops with an AI chatbot just to get to the point where you can schedule a callback several hours later).

no human interaction what so ever
absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in a service provider.

Terrible customer service

The service for Koodo prepaid is terrible. One would think that Koodo would try to offer excellent service to prepaid accounts, as it's money up front for them. But they treat prepaid customers like hated stepchildren. The website for prepaid is confusing and difficult to use. The online chat is a computer bot, not a real person. To speak with a live customer service rep requires scheduling a call back hours in advance. It's not worth the paltry amount of savings.

1 star is too much for this company…

1 star is too much for this company operating like a mafia in some sketchy country. They offer you "deals" and then charge you for actually using the deal. You go back to the kiosk and the manager is fired and there is suddenly no one to help. After dozens of calls, because you finally got a golden number to speak with someone, they promise you a refund. You think, wow, I succeeded. The refund never comes. You are back in the loop.

Been loyal customer for years aug 2022…

Been loyal customer for years aug 2022 moved to uk told koodo asked for final bill. Payment made day I left.much to my surprise a family member forwarded me email from a law firm chasing me for 106 dollars. I wasn't aware of anything as they had missed a symbol out of email address so didn't ever receive anything. Totally disgusted with koodo .no f..king loyalty from these b..tards absolute joke .no f..king loyalty from them .7783232824 was my number. I did everything they asked when I cancelled account. Well enjoy the 106 bucks. When I come back I will not be going to koodo no f..king way so you have lost thousands from me as a customer. F.ck you koodo......

Koodo suck large

Koodo suck large. It has the worst signal ever. It doesn't matter where you at, your call will drop. You will freeze in a middle of a conversation. And you cant get no customer service on the phone. I say go with anyone else then this company.

I payed them more than $6000 over the…

I payed them more than $6000 over the years and now that I want to transfer my number to a new provider they've locked it up. While attempting to communicate with them through a callback that was hard to obtain because of a heckling chat box, their representative hung up on me mid-conversation.

If you want to pay to spend every moment on your phone SCREAMING in frustration because NOTHING will load, get Koodo. THE WORST service provider ON THE PLANET. Should not be in service. Wish I could get my money back.

Why is it so hard to resolve a minor issue?

Customer service is non-existent. I am trying to pay a $10 charge that was unjustified since they failed to set up service properly. Extremely difficult to pay a debt that could affect my credit rating. Extremely difficult to speak to a human. Stay away from Koodo as customer service is apparently a very low priority with them.
