22 Request for Review COBRA coverage generally is approved and lasts for the maximum coverage period. If a beneficiary is not entitled to the requested continuation of coverage, ADP sends the person who requested coverage a notice of unavailability. This notice is provided within 14 days after the request is received and describes the reason for denying the request. ADP will administer the review process if a beneficiary requests a review of the denial or termination of coverage. Example A qualified beneficiary has been terminated due to lack of payment and submitted a request for review. During the information gathering process, ADP determines that the payment was received late due to extenuating circumstances, a house fire. This information will be sent to you for approval or denial. Important Information Should ADP not receive a decision from you within the stipulated date, this nonresponse is considered denial of the participant's appeal.
