Its a scam
Just email the college coaches you are interested in. You will get much better results.
Do not use them. Wisconsins head cross country coach says that he and many other coaches just ignore letters from those recruiting sites
I did briefly. Don't actually pay them but just make the free account. I don't know what your times are but you're not gonna get any big schools attention on there. As a previous poster commented big time coaches just ignore letters form there. The coaches who use be recruited are mainly from small d3 schools. It depends on what kind of school you're looking for I suppose.
Cam Levins was recruited through one of those sites.
Berecruited.com doesn't send letters it sends emails and only for the type of athlete that you as a coach request. If you want to get your name, times and even video out to 100 coaches quickly this is a great way to go. Most major programs probably won't use the website, because they don't have to. Most mid major programs should be using it. It is a great way to find contact info and event results for athletes all over the country. And yes Cam Levins was found on berecruited.com.
i was recruited by a d1 school full scholarship with a 4:15 mile :) thanks

You're full of it and you know it...Most mid majors do not use the website either nor shouldthey. Only lazy coaches who are desperate use the website.
Most any good coaches want have anything to do with that website.
If you can not spend the time to contact a coach yourself they do not want anything to do with you.
Coaches respect the athletes who put the time and effort into contacting them. At least the coach feels that if an athlete contacts them directly they are not wasting their time in recruiting said athlete.
those sites are a nuisance. if an athlete has real interest in a school they should email the coach. i never reply to those unsolicited leads because the kids invariably are a pain in the butt and have no real interest.
i coach collegiately, and i've found it to be moderately helpful. of course, as a college coach, i don't pay for it. i get about 100 interest emails per year. of those, about 5 are worth talking to--i'm talking 4:30-4:45 guys/ 5:30-5:45 girls. so i'm not even talking tremendous talent.
yes, i'm a d3 coach at a small private school. in the past 5 years, i've had 3 guys come to my school who had accounts there, but they had already contacted me before the berecruited.com deal began.
My point was that the website is a good way to find athletes that fit what you are looking for as a coach. There is no way any coach is going to look through meet results for the entire country. This helps narrow down the search. Of course if there are athletes that you already have interest in the HS coach should be contacted. As a coach probably 70% percent of athletes that contacted me, we had no interest in. If I contacted them obviously I was interested. Berecruited also allows the coach and athlete to bookmark each others profiles, thus showing interest and speeding up the process. It does not make someone a lazy coach if they do not call every kid in the country. Yes coaches like to be contacted by athletes, but they are hoping that the blue chippers call or email them. For most programs this just does not happen.
You will be harassed mercilessly mailwise by such fine institutions as hallowed div infinity schools such as Uncle Jim's State Bible College.
Getting mail is fun even if it's dumb.
No, I went with eScout4u.com and they made it easy. Was contacted by 50 to 60 schools in a 6 month period and got 2 great offers.
berecruited.com is for mediocre HS football players desperate for a chance to play in the NAIA
I just discovered beRecruited letter generator to basketball coaches out of 4 of 6 of the beRecruited letters had college coaches names in the letter that don't exist. I asked the following questions to beRecruited support staff via e-mail and did not get answers to the questions yet. Why aren’t BeRecruited and users of BeRecruited not receiving error messages like “Coach Receipt Not Found”?? "Where do the BeRecruited generated lettered letters really go, if coaches information in BeRecruited are wrong?? Please answer both questions."
