The erase Report It tool is an easy way to send a message to your school or school district’s safe school coordinator, who will follow-up on the situation in a timely fashion. They will also follow-up with you privately, if you provide your name.

erase is all about building safe and caring school communities. This includes empowering students, parents, educators and the community partners who support them to get help with challenges, report concerns to schools, and learn about complex issues facing students.

A local philanthropic organization has pledged $20,000 to our playground project. Now, we need your help to raise the remaining funds. With your
contribution, you’ll help create a vibrant and inclusive welcoming space for our diverse community of over 600 students.

The playground enhancements will include:

· A climbing apparatus
· Nature-based elements and play structures

The Game Ready Leadership Program at Spencer Middle School is an after school program that provides youth with an opportunity to learn fundamental movement and sport skills through a variety of games, activities and drills. Participants receive one-on-one and group coaching from highly skilled staff. Game Ready focuses on overall health and wellness of all participants and developing leadership skills.

Mondays 3-5pm: Grades 7 & 8
Wednesdays 3-5pm: Grade 6

Please fill out the Game Ready Registration form and return to the Spencer Office.

 
 

The next round of Immunizations will be provided at the school for grade 6 students on the morning of  May 15 and 16, 2024.

Immunization consent packages for grade 6 students were sent home in the Fall.  If you would like your child to be immunized and did not return the completed form, please contact the West Shore Health Unit at 250-519-3490.

Students in grade 6 will be offered immunizations in school-based clinics with the consent of a parent/guardian/representative.  Students are not immunized without parental consent.

 
 

We are so fortunate to have a Cricket Club here at Spencer Middle School run by our amazing Teacher, Mr. Roy! The Spencer Cricket Club meets once a week after school. Please follow this link for more information: Spencer Cricket Brochure

We need volunteers to help coach, and cricket clubs
to play with Spencer and SD 62 Students.

 
 

Bus registration for the 2024/25 school year opens at 8 AM on Monday, March 4 for eligible riders. For more information on eligibility and to register, please visit: https://www.sd62.bc.ca/our-district/transportation

Please note that during the February 27, 2024 public board meeting, the Board of Education passed a motion to explore a fee-based model for transportation services for the 2024/25 school year. Additional details can be found here: https://www.sd62.bc.ca/sites/default/files/school-plans/Transportation%20Fee%20Model%20Consideration.pdf We ask families with eligible student riders to register as they normally would between March 4 and April 30, 2024. As soon as there is a decision regarding a potential fee model, it will be communicated to families as soon as possible.

This is a story about a sister and brother whose bookshop is not doing very well since no one will buy books anymore. Bring in some jewels and jewel thieves to add more problems to these bookshop owners’ lives. BUT the bookshop is ‘enchanted’, so is there some magical way to save these siblings from their problems? Come on out to see and find out for yourselves!
