Flow of new books and pop-culture product. Fosters an environment full of nerds, and it's genuinely great.

Poor pay, Lack of good benefits, responsibilities vastly disproportionate to wages at seemingly every level, Register point-of-sale initiatives (you must be somewhat of a salesperson), higher ups keep sending assignments down the pipeline--stores never have a chance to breathe.

Pros of working at Books-A-Million
I loved interactive with customers and creating relationships that led to sales. I liked the fast-paced and ever changing nature of the day to day.

I didn't like the front-end metrics sales initiatives. (i.e. Club membership sales and magazine trial sales)
