Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) provided crucial support to help the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) achieve its first clean audit for the FY2024 National Defense Stockpile Transaction Fund (NDSTF) financial statements. DLA took responsibility of the NDSTF in 1988, making the clean audit a significant milestone. Currently, the DLA manages $950 million in assets for the NDSTF.

Starting in August 2025, DFAS will change the payment process for retirees who pay their Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) premiums directly through the U.S. Treasury Department’s Centralized Receivables Service (CRS).

2023 tax statements for military, retiree, annuitant and federal civilian employee customers serviced by the Defense Finance and Accounting Service will be distributed online via the myPay (https://mypay.dfas.mil/) pay management system mid-December 2023 through January 2024.
