Student Portal of College2022 •
As we are familiar with pandemic situation and its effects on our life. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected people regardless of nationality, level of education, income or gender. It has affected education system. As most of education, in our country was conducted in offline mode. But due to pandemic, picture has changed. During pandemic all universities were closed. It was very difficult for student pursuing higher education to cope up with situation. Online learning or e-learning was the best outcome of this pandemic. Students are connected with teachers, mentors through online meetings. The importance of online learning came into existence. Many colleges adopted various online activities and practices. Most of existing online learning systems do not provide exchange of resources and study material between students and mentors. But the problem is that students expect online learning to be simple and could be performed at ease. So to deal with this students problem, instead of creating an application which requires download we made a website which can be easily accessed. The website of student portal we implemented makes it easy for students from college to access resources, study materials of each and every subject. Students can solve quiz which are questioned by their mentors. The most important thing is that students can share feedback on performance of mentors. The website is controlled by admin which looks after the various activities of students and mentors.

Review of the Development and Application of an Instructor's Portal FrameworkNowadays, technologies provide different ways to make easier and faster. There are different types of systems provided and created for establishments, industries, corporations, companies. Some of the technologies are the online system, the automated system and many more. This enables the users to minimize their time, money and effort in personal and business transactions. Automation plays an increasingly important role in the global economy and daily experience. By developing innovative software and previously unavailable hardware devices, business system establishes a strong record for creative solution that is both effective and patentable. In this case, the proponents would like to design an e-learning in a form of modular object-oriented learning environment. Course Management System such as is being used by different universities to deliver knowledge to each student through the use of e-learning or virtual learning environment to allow instructors to manage their courses and exchange information with students for a course. (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is a software package for producing internet-based courses and websites. It is a global development project designed to support a social constructionist framework of education. Content Management System or Learning Management System is a software application for the documentation, tracking, and reporting of training programs, classroom and online events, e-learning programs, and training content. The system is designed to run in the background of public website. It allows administrators to edit content through an administrator panel that is then shown and displayed on the public frontend of the website. Often there are several levels of users who have control over the internet on the website, these can be the super admin. Using special access to the system through the web browser creators and editors can manage documents within the CMS. Overall the content management system controls and allows admin to manage workflows and other processes.
With the explosive growth of the internet and its ease of access through devices, school children getting into social media is increasing exponentially. The growth and the popularity of these sites has generated concerns among parents, school authorities and government policymakers about the potential risks posed to young people when personal information is made available in such a public circle. In the current context of Sri Lanka, there is an uphill in the social problems related to social networks and recent developments outlines particularly the school students. The mainstream social media which exist today does not provide any clear distinct service or a dedicated architecture for a school mass but a general layout for all the users. There is a need to harness the power of a range of tools, services and contents of Information Technology outside and inside the institution, hence the hybrid of social networking and a learning management system (LMS) named NetSchooler. It will be equipped with a unique architecture comprises of a collaborative study mechanisms, including support of teacher roles and engaging student roles. This system is a real time web application which integrates most of the social media features, LMS features and themed with better user interface designs. The aim of this system is to get students engaged by examining the factors which makes them stick to the social networks available today. Since part of this system features a LMS, careful study of how currently available LMSs' are used and evaluations for future developments are mandatory.
