Cord Blood Banking
TRICARE only covers cord blood banking when the beneficiary requires a transplant of cord blood.
Prior authorization is required. If covered, separate outpatient costs may apply or they may be included in the inpatient hospital costs.
TRICARE doesn't cover preventive harvesting or storage of cord blood banking for future treatment use.
