Longtime customr with Country Door

I have been ordering from Country Door for a number of years. I have always been pleased with their products and services. My only complaint is that there "extra" shipping costs seem rather high. Otherwise, I am pleased with the company.

customer service & fraud

put in order on 3/11 for a miller cabinet & on 3/12 there were $4000.00 of charges for swimming pool supplies from who knows where. originally called to replace the card number bec it couldnt go thru with a cxled card# but after going thru reviews & the process of the customer service calls decided to cancel altogether. they did not tell us in first call that cabinet was backordered in the first place and on the 2nd call to either replace number & eventually cxl order they tried getting recurring charges in place thru the bank account. & bec of that red flags went up & we cxled the order. thanks to everyone who
took the time to review on merch sent for assembly & the nightmare of trying to get goods returned. bec when asked we were assured it would not be a problem. it also taught me due dligence on checking on companies that i may jave previouly ordered from that had had negative experiences attached to them. this company’s sister co’s are 7th Ave, & Montgomery Ward.even the review process is awful. in order to submit my review i had to go thru submitting my email & would only allow me to submit by accepting emails that i do not want to receive.

Product quality reviews dissuaded me

I ordered a table lamp but after reading the reviews I opted to cancel the order. It had not yet shipped. I spoke to the kindest, perfectly English speaking woman who cancelled the order without question. I don't know how the quality of the item would have been, reading reviews of their product I was disconcerted and I was paying $36 in shipping cost alone so I decided not to risk it. It is my understanding that had the quality not met my standards, I'd have lost the $36 AND would have had to pay to ship it back. I wish the product reviews were better because the lamp looked adorable. But no qualms with customer service !

Buyer Beware!

I ordered a grandfather clock from this company, Shipping was $100.00 The item was damaged and customer service was horrible to work with. I am now out $400 for a broken clock. I will NEVER shop from this company again.

First time I've ever received poor…

First time I've ever received poor quality product. Ordered 2 Alice cabinets and they collapsed after assembly. Customer service was terrible and laughed at me when I called to let them know and ask for return labels. I have to get a box to return the collapsed cabinet and not sure how to do that since the cabinet is in large pieces and still partially assembled. This was a $500 mistake. Never shop here again.

Shipping cost are a scam

This store has some nice items I would like to purchase but it's ridiculous for any company to charge $65+ for shipping. Wouldn't recommend purchasing through this store when you can get shipping for half that price elsewhere

FRAUDULENT CHARGES

they took out 5 payments instead of one i got charged overdraft fees and they refused to pay them! stay away from this company there thieves and liars!!! ive been on the phone and no body would do anything to get it resolved or taken care of they just blew me off so i got an attorney to sue then so, now instead of 300 dollars they could of paid im asking for 10,000 mental distress, over draft fees , and other things watch your bank account because i may not be the only one they did this too!! BEWARE!!!

Good and fantastic place for all kinds of stuff

Good knowledgeable customer service, for the quality it's a good thing to have especially when I live on a low budget and I love the variety of the various things that they have. I'm loving the way they are definitely letting me know what and when they ship it. Very easy to understand. I'm glad that I have been a customer. Thanks

I recently got the catalog holiday 2023…

I recently got the catalog holiday 2023 and I'm all about Christmas at my house so I ordered the two deer that they have in there Santa's boots and they are absolutely outstanding I recommend them if you're wanting more Christmas decorations that looks expensive and looks great in your house you will definitely want to go for these two. Putting the deer together was extremely easy putting the boots Christmas trees in was very easy and the deer came with two little wreaths around their neck they're just beautiful I would like to maybe even get another pair shortly. Thank you Country Door for having such great products.

Nice Items/Terrible Shipping

I have no complaint with the few items I have ordered from this company. I am always a bit hesitant because I find their shipping to be on the pricey side. I recently placed an order with them, and this reminded me of another reason I do not purchase often from them. I was pleasantly surprised when the items I ordered shipped the next day. However, the package made it to a hub in Austell Ga.and 5 days later apparently the package is still there. I contacted CD and the response was they still had several days to get the package to me. With their shipping charges, CD needs to find a better shipping alternative. This is very off-putting to me. Will certainly think twice before I order from them again.

Disappointed with follow up on missing hardware pkg.

I ordered a day bed with the trundle, when i received the trundle part none of the hardware to build it was included, I immediately called and was promised a “hardware” pkg would be sent. After not getting an email confirmation I called back and was told by another customer service person that there was no notation that I called about the hardware that I need. Another 3-10 days of waiting. Very disappointed, with the whole order.

Don’t do it! All a lie, in regards to approved line of credit!!

Don’t do it!! I am a single Mom trying to rebuild my credit! You are not approved for 1 penny until they do a hard inquiry! I was told I had a $700 line of credit, while the shipping cost had me pause from pulling the trigger I finally went for it! I was not seeing any updates after almost 2 weeks so I went to check on my order only to find out it was cancelled by Country Door! There was no line of credit! You place a order and then they do a hard inquiry on your credit!! I unfortunately just opened a Macy’s card so they lied!! I was not approved like their false advertising line of credit!! I can ruin my own credit score I don’t need any help from a company that I never heard of! Congratulations you lied to a single Mom with your false advertisement!!

Their biggest scam is their Shipping…

Their biggest scam is their Shipping and handing fees.Even Walmart delivers for free over $25 and country door never has sales.coupons.free shipping.they have items in stock the have had for tens years and never reduced a cent.Pass them by.Everything looks pretty but they have a racket going on!!!

It’s the biggest ripoff in the history of mankind !!!!!
Rude people, thieves, and customer service can’t even speak English!!
I’ll never buy anything from them again. They may be in with the mob, they don’t care who they lie to or cuss you out !

Shipping ripoff

I returned an item and only got credited for the item cost, not the shipping cost that I had to pay for to start with plus I had to pay again to ship it back. Shipping costs ended up being almost as much as the item I returned and had nothing to show for it!! Never again

A FingerHut style ripoff ..stay away

This company is like Finger Hut, offering merchandise for people who have poor credit. But they had some bath accessories I liked so I placed the order and the next day canceled it as I found some that were a better match on Ebay. CountryDoor had not shipped yet , but said they could not cancel the order but I could return the merchandise with the enclosed return label. That label required postage, so it cost my 25.00 to ship them back and they have RECIEVED them back, I’ve been billed by FedEx which only happens when items are deliever, and it even shows they have received the return on the CD website, but they will not credit my account. Their customer service from the website is always down, and in emails they just shine you on. They said in email it may take up to two billing cycles to credit the account.. which means if I do not pay, they can can ding my credit report. This is robbery. They want to extend this into a billing cycle to force me to pay for things I returned unopened and did not use.

Beautiful curtains

I just received curtains for my bedroom. They are called Pemberley Toile. The color was beautiful as well as the large rose pattern. I LOVE these curtains!! So happy!!

Automatic payments? What a joke.

There's a reason many customers sign up for automatic payments. So we don't have to worry about missing a payment and incurring the wrath of billing.

We've had so many problems with billing over the years. They used to let you pay with your bank account. Once they did away with that, I've struggled to cough up the money on my credit cards to make the minimum.

Automatic payments are supposed to be just that. Automatic. I didn't have to worry about making a payment each month. Not so for July. They didn't take out the payment and now they say I owe double. They're slick. They didn't even notify me by email. You can't make any more purchases until you pay what they say you owe. Nice, eh?

I like their products and have a home decorated with squirrels and their autumn flower vases.

But they're vicious. Now, I have to call them and find out why they didn't take out the July payment. I had enough to cover it. Unless they're trying to get their money's worth by shaking me down for twice what I owed that month.

I wouldn't order from this company unless you have a steady source of income and a reliable payment option.

Country Door may just give the Mafia a run for their money with their questionable business practices.
