I took him totally online. He makes things due at odd times at 5:59 PM on Saturdays You have a quiz, discussion board, and chapter questions to answer every week. What frustrated me the most was the chapter questions. He grades them so harshly and seems to want specific answers. I got good grades on everything except the questions.

Dr. Ellis will help you as much as you show effort and communicate well with him He does not appreciate poor effort or no communication. He is not great at understanding how to work blackboard, but he lectures only as much as he needs too and often time releases the class early. His desire is for students to grow in real world business application

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!! This is the worst experience I have ever had with a teacher before. Insane amount of work, no help with answering questions, insanely hard tests, and is absolute "crap" at replying to emails and when he does he blames you for the issue. I have had issues with him every single week and he rarely every decides to reply.

I created an account just to give this professor a bad score. Do not take him if at all possible. I hated life in this mans class. Lots of discussion boards, quizzes, and case studies. One of each each week to be exact. He is also a tough grader and make the assignments due at the most random times, for example quizs due at 12pm and dbs due at 5pm.

Not respectful or helpful; makes fun of students in front of the class; refuses to answer questions; skips over material concerning international business; barely teaches the material; prioritizes format above content when grading; posts contradicting due dates in Blackboard and generally just makes things unnecessarily difficult.

This was my first C grade in college. Tough professor, not really willing to work with you. Made simple things very difficult. Made students feel bad about asking questions. Sarcastic and sometimes offensive. I will say that sometimes he cut us random slack with open note quizzes, but not worth taking him. Least favorite class with him.

Let me start by saying I hate giving negative ratings to professors; I know their jobs are extremely difficult. With that being said, Ellis is a professor I must warn future students about. He is unfair in grading and overcomplicates a rather simple subject. For ex., we followed the rubric to a T for the term paper and still received a C-.

This class is insanely challenging, so be sure to study extra, but it's worth it. Read the textbook before the next class because you will be called on to answer questions from the lecture. There's a service learning component (10 hours at a nonprofit) outside of class as the major project. It's a hard class, but Ellis is a real gem.

Avoid at all costs! He's not helpful when it comes to homework. He expect you to know what to do before he has even gone over the chapter.
