Not using Windows 10, but I've found that on my computer, I often can't Alt-Tab or Ctrl-Alt-Del to the desktop. Some time ago, I started opening an Explorer window before running DDO and I can always Alt-Tab to that. No idea why.

I'm on wind 10, and I'm having a problem opening the game now. I don't know why, but it will start to load, some sort of Steam popup will happen and then kill its self. I don't know what to do at this point.

Check if it's a Steam overlay problem: Find the DDO executable and run it directly.

I found my antivirus interfered with DDO so I made an exception, and now it is working.
But I had to use ctrl-alt-delete to close the game, unfortunately it wouldn't return me to the desktop so I had to blindly find the log off to get out of the game :P

Cant even get the game to come on I get as far as choosing my server then it just CTD doesnt load crap,,,, Never done this to me before and Im on Windows 10....

Done that and the same thing is happening...

Verfing Cache right now to see if there is a problem it that going to take a while because it has to go though 7.7Gigs for some reason...

EDIT: Still nothing all it does is act as if its going to load then shuts itself down...

Hell mine get to server select to the game closes out cant figure this out looked everywhere online and still no fix for this, think Im going to give up on this game, just cant figure out why this is the only game I have on Steam that wont start at ALL!!! Heck I deleted it and reinstalled already 5 times and still the same thing...

Ok finally figured it out to get working what I did was went to the opions tab on the launcher "at the top right of the launcher is a drop down tab" and went though all the tabs till I found "reset all setting to default" and did that and boom the game launched.... Crazy isnt it...

I had to go through this step to make it work and i recommend you do this regardless if you got it working magically. I do hope this helps everyone and have a great time playing D&D ^^
