Watching Dirtvision on TV

Recommended Posts

Can anyone let me know how they watch Dirtvision on a TV?

According to the Dirtvision website:

"DIRTVision does not support any gaming device, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, or any Smart TV. The video player does support Chromecast however - although not all versions of Chromecast are compatible. Many users also have good experiences using the iWebTV app."

I don't have any Apple products so the iWebTV app is not applicable to me.

Just a suggestion, but if you have a laptop or computer with an hdmi output you could always hook that up to the hdmi input on the tv. I’ve never done it with dirtvision but I have done it with other streaming services and conceptually it should work.

That's how we do it.  We have an older laptop that sits by the TV.  We just turn it on when there is a race, switch the TV input to the correct HDMI port and we are all set.

I watch it with my Amazon fire stick. I believe there's DTD TV app if you search apps

I pay for it on my phone at DTD TV since the fire tv app doesn't support payments then watch it on the fire stick

Yes, we have an app on the Amazon Fire Stick and Roku, but DIRTvision does not.  If you want to watch DIRTvision on those devices you can, you need need to use the web browser that comes with the device.

I access Chrome Google through my android box.  Then sign in from there to Dirtvision.

Up until this month.  The live tv supplier through my android box had a subscription to both FloRacing and Dirtvision.  All summer long I was getting those races for free.  It was great.

As you can see I got an A + in reading comprehension...haha

Thanks for clearing that up about DIRT vision

By the way my wife & I have enjoyed being able to watch races on DTD TV - I'm not sure if I'll be able to convince to go to a track again lol

I'll go out on a limb here but a possible alternative to an HDMI connection is "casting" to a TV from a phone or tablet

Well now that I know you can do it might work with Chromecast I can try to side-install it on my fire Tv. Same way I can watch HBO Max on FireTV though they say it doesn't work. If it's a google app it will work on Fire Tv.

I hate using that horrible silk browser. I always end up having to close it and reboot it every time I watch Dirtvision.

yeah well, while my dad and brother were out playing in the dirt with heavy equipment I was playing on my Texas Instruments TMS9900. I'm geek through and through.

I just finished programming my new Linux computer for my Arcade Cabinet I bought, with a 32" Roku generic tv. 12,000 Arcade and Console games from Atari 2800 up to the original Playstation. Great little computer about the size of a deck of cards. Runs like a champ. Computers, Video games and Electronics are my biggest past time. Accept for going to the races, nothing is as cool as that. Even racing online isn't as cool as watching a live race.
