DTN does not show up when using custom TLN

I created a custom TLN navigation iView as per the example at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/42/fd515a2aa95277e10000000a1553f7/content.htm

I am using my custom TLN for the first level of navigation.I also have the default DTN placed on my framework page.

When I click on my custom TLN tabs, there are times when the DTN does not show up at all, although there are second level navigation nodes that should be displayed in the DTN. This happens only for the TLN nodes that are based on worksets. For the TLN nodes that correspond to iViews, I don't have this problem, the DTN shows up fine.

Anybody knows why this strange behaviour?
