If you're waiting on the NBA Live 19 demo to be released on PS4 or Xbox One you're probably looking forward to taking your created player through the ONE mode journey.
However, you might be having issues scanning your face with the Android or iOS app. If that's the case, I have some help for you.
I was struggling to get an accurate scan myself. This was my first one...
Why does my #NBALIVE19 scan look like @Chris_Smoove did a 20-year bid and is angry because he lost his hair and all of his YouTube subscribers? I started to rescan, but this story line is just too good. pic.twitter.com/E8sr41DUZw

After a bit of self-deprecating humor on Twitter, I came across CDJ's tutorial video for scanning your face. It's a short video, but it has most of the valuable tips you'll need to get the best scan possible. Take a look:
After using the video as a guide, my scan wasn't exactly photorealistic, but it was definitely better than the first one.
Ok this is a little better, i got a 4K head so, those 1080p apps cant contain my dome.. about the best I'm gonna get pic.twitter.com/UhIzmTqWi2

It seems the most important factors are lighting, the height at which you hold your phone, and be sure to keep your eye on the camera. If you're managing all of those things, you should be able to get an acceptable scan. So far, NBA Live's GameFace HD app has been the most dependable scanning app among in the sports gaming universe.
Hopefully, the transfer from app to the console remains reasonably accurate. The NBA Live 19 demo releases at midnight on Thursday. The app will be available throughout the year for fans who want to re-scan themselves or for those who buy the game late.
