sample classroom activities

§511. Food and Nutrition

  1. Standard 15: Demonstrate preparing all categories of menu items utilizing commercial materials to produce a variety of food products. (gr 10-12)
    • I would have students get in groups of 2-3 and use Emaze to make a presentation on the different cooking methods they are assigned. Then they would present their presentations to the class

Visual Arts

  1. VA-HP-M1 Standard: Students develop historical and cultural perspective by recognizing and understanding that the arts throughout history are a record of human experience with a past, present, and future. §925 Benchmarks (gr 5-8)
    • I would use the “Soho Gallery” presentation template to create a presentation about works of art and their subject, style, culture, and time period to teach students about the art styles and culture of the time in history
