Automated Reentry Management System

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s (CDCR) Automated Reentry Management System (ARMS) is a centralized, web-based data system that streamlines the life cycle of rehabilitative treatment. This case management system solution provides rehabilitation treatment and case planning data for program delivery and oversight.

The ARMS solution leverages technical efficiencies in tracking incarcerated individuals and parolees progress. It also provides a common means for both CDCR staff and contracted service providers to report activity and services data in a controlled and consistent manner. With this data, service providers are able to see the relationships between activities performed and the successful outcomes of their efforts. ARMS is also able to look across many programs to help in data collection in order to determine effective programming practices and how well the programs are adhering to the fidelity of the programmatic models.

The ARMS solution provides the business intelligence to determine if rehabilitative programs support CDCR mission goals and objectives for reducing prison population, improving public safety, and reducing costs. The flexibility of the ARMS solution allows new programs to be defined more expeditiously as well as rapidly implement new legislation or other mandates supported with the system.

ARMS supports innovative concepts for rehabilitation and provides an integrated support solution for the following processes:

  • Achievement
  • Aftercare
  • Assessment
  • Case Planning
  • Enrollment
  • Program Referral
  • Treatment
