Incorrect electoral details affecting negatively

You have incorrectly given my electoral details causing negative impact to my credit score. While all other agencies have accurately reported, yours did not and this has significant impact at a time when I need to buy new car and other finance products. There was no any help as well available online during the weekend. The portal that is to submit case for support did not work either. It did not allow me to login nor it allowed me to register.

I had an unknown profile turn up on my credit score, the creditor was no use in supporting on details so contacted Equifax and to understand and the custom support representative was fantastic in helping raise a case to get this sorted.

The purpose of the registration was not achieved, open rent is still saying Equifax can not find my credit records, even after registration with Equifax. I will appreciate this matter to be addressed.

I have subscribed to them all for over 15 years …

I have subscribed to them all for over 15 years but no more, their underhand ways never change, they are a joke.
Don’t waste your time or money, they are just a legalised marketing company to take your money.
Any credit you take out gets reported instantly but when you clear your accounts they don’t update for several months badly impacting your score!
Lenders see a different report anyway so completely pointless.
Then they just try to sell you more credit advertising credit cards etc.
They can’t even update the electoral information correctly, instead they blame the council.. strange how the register reports it correctly along with other agencies!
A good example of all that is wrong in the financial sector.

Ironically- Don’t how credit files work.

Spoke to someone today as a loan balance has been £0 since June, but it remains open.
The loan company have advised that they informed them it had been settled, so no further information is required. As the balance is £0, this confirms what they’ve said.

Equifax can’t understand why a £0 balance would mean an account is settled. They can’t close until notified, but they have already been notified. The person on the phone didn’t understand much and seemed to struggle with basic queries or explanations.

This information is supplied to us by your provider and we can help you correct the information by using the data dispute process. As we don't own the data, we'll manage the dispute with the data supplier on your behalf. Once the dispute has been raised, the company has 21 days to respond to it. While this is happening, we'll add a note to your Equifax Credit Report so that any organisations looking at it are aware that the information is under dispute. If you prefer, you can get in touch with the company directly and ask for changes to be made at the earliest opportunity. If you are successful, you can ask the company to ensure records are updated at Equifax and any other Credit Reference Agencies as soon as possible.
