Came here to say exactly this. And I think Dry Beaver Gulch in AZ is more lewd than "three way", but that's because I get a kick every time I cross the gulch. But I don't even know where "three way" is, and I lived there for 22 years.

I've been to Athol, ID (it's where Silverwood Theme Park is, about 15 miles north of CDA).

Headquarters used to be a logging camp, near Pierce, ID.
