      I purchased a course to get my license in insurance from Exam FX for $160. They are telling me today that I am not eligible for a refund despite me still being within the time frame to receive a refund. I purchased it February 9th and today is the 12th. Their refund policy is I have to return it within 48 hours or by the close of the next business day which would be today. And I messaged them at 2:35 this morning about a refund but they are telling me I never sent in anything. I have the proof attached below.

      Our Support Team has been in communication with ******* and explained the reason why a refund is not eligible.  ******* agreed to the refund policy as part of making the purchase.

      ExamFX sells digital online self paced courses. Our Refund policy is inline with online providers both in and out of our industry.  ExamFX has reviewed and the account did not meet eligibility requirements so is not eligible for a refund.

      Website did not come with instructions and my course is about to expire and today I discovered the other half. How am I supposed to know that the title was a drop down menu? Both classes talk about health and life insurance, so I thought they were combined not separate!! I paid you too much as is, you should have told me!!!!

      Kaydee Purchases an online Self  paced course on 10/13/23.  She did purchase a Life and Health course. Once inside the course it is divided into a Life Section and Health Section. This is evident in the image provided.  The course is designed this way because this is how the state exam is administered. The Life and Health exams are done separately. The course shows Arkansas Life, and once toggled to Health will show Arkansas Health.

      ExamFX Courses come with 60 days of access. Should a user require or want additional time, they have the choice to purchase an extension.

      Date of transaction; within 24hours of registration I moved forward opting for a refund the next day. The decision based on sleeping on it overnight and choosing an alternative route for my focus is a natural occurance many customers encounter and logical grounds for requesting a refund. Except ExamFx is unreasonably restrictive to refund exercising a policy that states if having spent more than an hour in the course a refund is rejected. How else can I determine it is not a good fit after all, had I some time (~4 hours) slept on it then deciding upon a new day within 24 hours that it is not what I want to pursue. I strongly suggest that ExamFx reconsider this policy as it is unfairly cornering customers. I understand that the insurance industry is experiencing an official crisis with binding restrictions but ought not be at the expense of customers and/or students.

      My company contracted with ExamFx to provide a preparatory program for one of our employees seeking to pass the Series 65 Securities Exam. As the program grows towards its end, its important to schedule the exam and for the employee to have the best chances of passing this exam, which means they will have access to the materials right up to the time of the test. We have scheduled the exam based on information provided us stating that the employee's access to the materials will expire on July 30, 2023. Today the employee was told that her access would end on the July 27. I contacted the company and despite seeking resolution with a supervisor, the company insists that they are unable to fulfill the written statement. This represents a material breech of goodwill minimally, and perhaps represents a civil legal matter. When a company will not satisfy their own printed words, they are a company that should not be relied on and certainly not patronized.

      ExamFX is operating with in the posted terms and conditions. user will need to purchase a new course after 2/27/23. The average customer completes the course in 3-6 months and  ExamFX provides up to a year for our customers to use with paid extensions beyond the original access period of 90 days.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Information listed in the "fine print" you provided a year ago is inconsistent with information you provide every time Diana or I log into your system. If you tell someone every day that they have access until a certain date, it is not reasonable for them to believe that they actually have access only until an earlier date because of something you told them a year ago. You are responsible for the things you put in print and it is not our fault that your organization was negligent with regard to publishing information regularly to a paying customer that is inconsistent with your policy.

      On 12/01/19 ****** ******* product ******* **** ***** ******* ******** * ********  $149.95. I never used the program. On 1/22/20, I got a reminder email that I had purchased the program and it was about to expire. On 1/23/20, I required an extension and I received a renewal extension email for 30 days $34.95 or 60 days $59.95. O. 1/27/20, 8/29/22, the email my extension was expiring soon. I have been homeless for over 2 years. I reset my password on 8/30/22 and 6/8/23, and chatted with a staffer, who implied that she couldn't reset my account.

      When I began to take the exmafx course I noticed that some of their information was incorrect. I figured this out because I wanted to make sure that I understood the information being taught so after a few hours of studying i went to a different company’s website to take a practice test, when I had completed the test, I had noticed that there were a few questions that I had gotten wrong that I had seen on examfx course that would state otherwise. So, I went back to examfx and saw that what I had put was indeed correct but that meant that one of the sights was wrong, so I began to do more research and found that there were other sources that were saying that examfx was incorrect, so I had stopped using the course and decided I wanted to cancel the course. So I looked up how to cancel the course and get a refund where I had then found the terms for a refund I had met all the terms except they said that if the sight is used for over an hour the refund will not be issued however I decided to call because I figured since the website was delivering incorrect information on the course, that would be reason enough to give a refund for someone who had purchased the course for less than a day. However, I was told to take my issue to the escalation team. But the escalation team had responded that even if their information was incorrect, they believed that they had enough correct information on the course to allow me to pass my test and would not issue me a refund or even a partial refund.

      I bought an online study course for preparation to take the State Exam for Life insurance, upon completion of the mandatory 20 Hour course (not including the time spent taking their online practice exams) I have finished successfully their program and taken their final online exam and passed with a score of 78% on January 5 2022, however I am not allow to schedule my STATE EXAM until they (ExamFX) e-mai me or allow me to print a "Certificate of Completion" document, I contacted them and they said that maybe they will have it ready tomorrow Friday the 7th at 5pm central time ? I live in North Carolina, by the time I get that certificate of completion "******* ****" ( the place to call to schedule your state Exam is closed) Obviously I can't take the exam on Saturday or Sunday because they are closed. Monday or Tuesday is not a good day for me due to work pushing me all the way to Wednesday, this means that I won't be able to take that State exam till then and know if I pass or not. For the next 5 days I can't move on to start studying for the health Exam or others exams until I pass the Life Exam and know where I stand. My life is on a stand still until (ExamFX) email's or allows me to print that simple "Certificate of Completion" I contacted ExamFX regarding the issue and they can't help me unless ( all of the sudden) If I pay an additional 50 dollars they can expedite a certificates to me. This was never disclosed to me when buying their online course. This information was never disclosed. If I would have known this I would have gone with a different school or program. I payed their online course and did their required hours and took their practice exam, I did all the requirements told to do yet they are not delivering their promise.

      ****** ****** purchase a Video Study Package for **** *** ****** in North Carolina on 12/21/21.  North Carolina state regulation requires the final exam in our course to be “proctored.”  A disinterested 3rd party must monitor and attest that the customer completed the exam on their own without help.  The proctor attestation must be manually reviewed and approved to ensure our customers used a proctor that meets state requirements.  This processing time can take up to 2 business days.


      ****** indicates that none of this information was explained to him.  When customers purchase our course, they are presented with the State Rules and Requirements as part of their registration.  User must manually click to advance past the presentation of this information to complete the purchase.  Within those State Rules and Requirements, we list the following:


      Your Examination Admission Ticket will be processed in 2 business days and will then be e-mailed or faxed to you. Your ticket will be valid for 90 days.
      In addition to that location, we also list the information inside the ExamFX course.  At the top of the main menu contains a link “State Rules.”  Within the link we explain the following:


      ExamFX will review and process your request within two (2) business days. Once approved, your examination admission ticket will be emailed to you.
      To be eligible to receive a certificate of completion/ examination admission ticket, all state requirements must be met and required forms completed; please note, state requirements are subject to change. ExamFX will make every attempt to process the certificate of completion within two business days.
      Certificates of completion/ examination admission ticket are processed in the order received. To request an expedited certificate, customers will need to call our customer service team at ************** between 8:00AM - 3:00PM CST, Monday – Friday (excluding holidays and/or office closures).       ****** ****** completed his final exam on 1/5/22 at 4:32 PM.  Based on stated processing time this means the certificate of completion would be issued no later than 1/7/22 by close of business. ExamFX processes over 11 thousand certificates a month.  We process them in the order received.  ExamFX offers an optional expedite service for customer who cannot wait or do not want to wait for the normal processing.


      ExamFX Certificate processing time was communicated prior to purchase and within the course itself.  I have verified with our certificate/compliance team the certificate of completion/admission ticket will be issued by close of business on 1/7/22.

      ****** ****** can schedule his exam at any time.  The admission ticket/certificate is required to be presented at the exam, but it is not required to schedule the state exam. 

      North Carolina requires other actions to schedule the state exam, that are not within ExamFX responsibilities. We want to ensure ****** ****** is aware of them. The following information is within the “state rules” link mentioned earlier and listed on our website at the following url

      User in North Carolina are required to Complete an electronic application at ************. Pay the associated fees.       On or about, August 26, 2021, I was contacted for a job. After the interview, I told the employer, I had a lot going on with my house (urgent repairs) and medical issue with my back; resulted in surgery. Plus I work full time. I had emailed ** insurance with my concerns. See attachment. The ** insurance employer literally had several employees calling, texting and emailing my phone night, day and weekends about signing up for ExamFX. It was high pressure tactic & I was not allowed to pick my own insurance school to sign up with. I signed up because I was told, it was self-paced and I was not given a deadline to complete. I have been locked twice and each time ExamFX wanted more money to continue. I was never made aware that I had to finish within X days or pay more money. It's not listed on their website either. In fact, I never signed up, they have relationships with "insurance company aka the employer." The employer, ** Insurance called me and sent a link. ** insurance had access to monitoring my ExamFX too. The ** insurance started the process with ExamFX & then called me, to finish the application they had started with ExamFX. Again, high pressure tactics. Is ExamFX giving a kick back to insurance companies? Most insurance schools allow 6 months to a year to complete at self-paced. On 12/21/21, I requested a refund since the employer had not returned my call or text about why I was locked out again. I feel this is high pressure tactics, the time frame to complete the course was not clearly stated and I was not made aware that I would have to keep paying money every X days to continue. I feel lied too. I would like help from the BBB and a refund for this course.

      ***** ****** purchased a Live Online Study Package from ExamFX on 8/25/2021.  ExamFX courses are limited to 60 days of access from date of purchase. The access period is stated at time of purchase. Each time customers log into the course the activation date and expiration date are displayed.  ExamFX courses can be extend for a fee if customers desire more time to complete the course.  A customer can not use our course without accessing the page with the activation and expiration date.

      Purchased a course for Insurance exam. The course and content is completely outdated. Failed exam 3 times. I have 3 licenses which i passed from first time. I’m not dumb.       **** purchased a Personal Lines course on 10/24 for state of New York. 


      ExamFX is so confident in our courses we offer a Pass Guarantee.  In order for Customers to be eligible, customers must pass the Guarantee Exam in their course with a score of 80% or higher within 3 days prior to their state exam.  If it is the user’s 1st state exam attempt, and they fail to pass, ExamFX will refund the original course purchase cost. In review of ****** course, we note the Guarantee Exam was attempted, but not passed. **** received a score of 55% after 2 attempts. For this reason ****** course is not eligible for the Pass Guarantee refund.

      In regards to normal refund policy:

      I registered to take continuing education courses to renew my state license. This started in July. After completing the final course, I printed out each certificate of completion for my records, after three weeks of waiting to renew my license, the school sent my CEUs to a non-resident state (DC). I called ExamFX and was advised that I registered for the wrong state. I have spoken to three customer service representative that acknowledge my license number and would email compliance to have the CEU transcript sent to the correct state and I would receive an email in two days, no emails received. I called State of Maryland Insurance Department to indicate my issue with ExamFX and was told to email my certificates. This problem is not resolved. 8/31/21, the customer service representative at Exam FX told me to retake the courses for the correct state. It is the exact same courses they are telling me to retake, instead of them sending the CEU transcript to the correct state.

      ***** ****** purchased a Continuing Education for Washington DC on 6/21/21.  ***** completed this enrollment on our website and of her own accord.  ***** had a voucher she obtained from NAPA that she redeemed for a CE enrollment on our site.  As part of that redemption, ***** had to select her state of residence.  ***** selected Washington DC.

      She has completed several CE courses and ExamFX attempted to file them with Washington DC, only to learn she does not hold a resident license in Washington DC.  ***** has requested that we report her Washington DC completions to the state of Maryland where she holds a resident license.  ExamFX courses are state specific, and state approved.  ***** has requested ExamFX complete an action that contradicts state CE reporting policies.  Our support team has explained this on multiple occasions to *****.

      ExamFX is willing to provide a free CE course to ***** for the state of Maryland. She will need to complete CE courses from a Maryland course in order for ExamFX to report completions to Maryland.   We understand the frustration ***** has encountered. ***** enrolled for the wrong state course and ExamFX is unable to report her Washington DC completions to Maryland as Maryland CE courses.  Please have her contact the ExamFX Customer Support Manager to discuss the free course

      I am rejecting this response: This response from ExamFX to offer me a free course is FALSE.  I never received any follow-up emails from ExamFX.  I have spent the past 3 weeks trying to renew my license with the State of Maryland before license expire on 8/31.  Upon completing my last course on 8/11/21, I have spoken to three different customer service representative since 8/11/21, all told me it will take up to two business days to investigate and I will receive an email of the decision.  I NEVER received any emails.  I had to make follow-up calls to Exam FX.  I was also told, it should not be an issue to send the transcripts to Maryland, being that the same CEUs is required to renew license.  On 8/31/21, I called again to follow-up from my call made on 8/25.  Spoke with customer service representative ******* who is very rude, she continued to speak over me, she is to aggressive/defensive as a customer service representative.  Heidi informed me to call State of Maryland Insurance Administration, I replied I have reached out the Maryland and was told to call the ExamFX. Heidi replied I would have to PAY to retake the exam. She never mentioned that it would be "FREE".  I requested a refund of the money I paid to receive each certificate of completion, she replied" I would NOT get a refund, the money was sent to DC Insurance Administration.  I replied" I paid my money to ExamFX, not to DC and I have no way to know where the money is sent.  I stated, I refuse to take another CEU course with ExamFX and will file complaint with BBB and State of Maryland Insurance Administration. 

      The five course of completion certificates is prefilled with the Maryland license number, there is a different license number for each state.  This should have been rejected by ExamFX and a validation, this check and balance is not in place to catch errors, this would eliminate any licensed agent to experience this type of issue with ExamFX.
