Troubleshooting

How do I change my password if I’m logged out?

If you’re not logged into Facebook and want to change your password, you’re first going to need to recover your account.

You can do this by going to the Find Your Account page, entering the email address or phone number associated with your account and clicking Search. Then simply follow the instructions on screen to reset your password using your Google account, email address or phone number.

What if I can’t access my email address or phone number?

If you’re logged out of your account and don’t have access to the email address or phone number associated with that account, you can try using any other email addresses or numbers that may have been listed on your account. Make sure to include your country code and leave out any plus signs or special characters when entering your phone number.

If that doesn’t work, the next step is to contact you email service provider to see what they can do to help you recover your email account.
