How to setup and use Fitbug
1. INSERT battery to your Fitbug Orb.
2. After inserting the battery, PAIR your Orb with your account by following
the steps below:
a. Login to Fitbug.com with your Fitbug username and password
b. Click your name on the top-right of the Fitbug website
c. Click Profile / Settings / Apps
d. Scroll down to the Devices section
e. Select Fitbug Orb from the dropdown list
f. Input your Orb serial number with no dashes or spaces.
g. Important: your Orb’s serial number is found on the back of your Orb
and starts with 2000-xxxxx.
h. Click Add new device
3. ACTIVATE the Orb’s setup mode to configure your personal settings. There
are two ways to setup your Orb:
OPTION1 (Preferred)
Using Fitbug Station –is a designated computer in your office
installed with a Fitbug application and a Bluetooth wireless dongle.
Please approach your Office Services for their location.
To activate your Orb using Fitbug Station, follow these steps:

1. Press the button on the Orb for five seconds to enter setup mode.
Setup mode is indicated by an orange light.
2. The following Orb’s setup screen will appear on your computer.
To identify you have setting up the correct Orb for the user please
check the serial number on the back of the Orb with the Serial
number at the top of the pop up screen.
3. While the Orange light is on….
· Enter their Weight
· Enter their Stride Length by using the table below

· Set the Beacon mode on with 15 min interval (data will be
sent automatically every 15 mins when within 10m of a
dongle station)
4. Click the Save button on the Orb set up screen to complete the
set-up for the user. If it is successful the Orange light on the Orb
will turn itself off once you press the Save button on the screen.
The Orb is now ready for use.
OPTION2 (Alternate)
Using Compatible Mobile Device – Fitbug application can be
installed to your personal mobile device. Please check compatibility
and how to install. https://www.fitbug.com/sg/connect

Fitbug Orb features and mode
PUSH MODE – you can upload your steps whenever you want. Go near to a
Fitbug Station. Press the Orb button once so the light goes green, this pushes
the data to the Bluetooth wireless dongle. The light will switch off once the
data has been sent.
NOTE: Associates using Fitbug Station to upload steps may sometimes
encounter upload failure and receive an error. Please try the following options:

Allow a few minutes and try uploading again
Reboot the Fitbug Station then try uploading again
If issue persists, please raise a ticket to IT Service Desk
STREAM MODE – to stream your data as you walk, press the Orb button twice.
To show it’s working, the green light will blink every 5 seconds. (For compatible
mobile device only)
BEACON MODE – sends data to your Fitbug Station at regular intervals (15, 30,
45 minutes.) 15 minutes is set as part of the Orb activation step and is our
preferred setting.
SLEEP MODE – tracks your sleep quality. To activate sleep mode, press the Orb
button three times (light will flash 5x to show you its active.) To cancel sleep
mode, hold-press the Orb button and light will flash several times. Note: Sleep
mode will “auto-cancel” if you walk 50 (fifty) steps.

Fitbug Orb colours and what they mean
GREEN LIGHT
Solid green light – This means that your Orb is in Push mode and it is trying to
send your data. To enter Push mode press the button on the Orb once for half
a second.
Green light flashes five times – This means that your Orb has either entered
Sleep mode or has exited sleep mode.
Green light flashes once every five seconds – This means that your Orb is in
Stream mode. This mode allows you to view your step count in real time when
using the Fitbug app on your mobile phone or tablet.
Constantly flashing green light (very rare) – This means that your Orb is
experiencing an internal problem related to its firmware.
ORANGE LIGHT
Solid orange light – This means that your Orb is in pairing mode and it is ready
to be connected to your account or have its internal settings updated.
RED LIGHT
Red light displays for one second – This means that your Orb was unable to
upload your data while in Push mode.
Flashing red light – Low battery warning. Change your battery to avoid
dataloss. The Orb uses a CR2032 battery model that can be purchased from a
local store.

Forgot your Fitbug password?
1. Open this link https://www.fitbug.com/au/login?pass_forgotten=1#
2. Type in your Username or Email then click Send.
3. Wait and you will receive an email notification with instruction.

4. Click “Reset your password now”
5. Type in your new password and click Submit
6. Complete
