My wife, the payee, went to Fulton Bank today in Gap, Pennsylvania, to cash a check from our county government, who was the payor of the check from Fulton Bank, and was told that there would be a five-dollar charge to cash the check since she did not have an account there. To the bank whose slogan was and still may be "WE'RE LISTENING", listen well because some of your other policies are very unsatisfactory. It's no wonder this site gives you a 2.9 rating.
I've been a Fulton customer since November of 2022. I am giving 3 stars based on the service I've received inside the branch. I'm not going higher because the service I get on the phone has been horrible! Someone committed fraud with my debit card yesterday, and then attempted another charge this morning that the fraud department caught. I received a text message asking if I authorized a transaction of $79 on my debit card. I replied that I did not. I was then instructed to call the fraud department, which I did. The woman I spoke with was professional enough, but she kept having problems with her computer. She provided me with three options for applying for the provisional credit. I'm not sure why I have to "apply" for the credit since I've never had to do this with other banks I have done business with. Anyway, the first option was to have an application form emailed to me, which seemed like the easiest option. Now, nearly 4 hours later, I am yet to receive this form. I called customer service to let them know (perhaps she mistyped my address, and it bounced?) and was put on hold for several minutes. I eventually requested a callback, which I am still waiting for! Everything else has been good customer service-wise, except their phone support is non-existent! This isn't the first time I've been left in the lurch waiting for a callback!
I don't know what happened with this bank. I've been with Fulton since they took over years ago and never had a problem. But now, it has gone downhill. The drive-thru is absolutely terrible. I got there when no one else was in line, and I still had to wait 10 minutes before someone attended to me, only to tell me that they would be right with me. Yeah, right. I waited another 5 minutes until they actually helped me. Meanwhile, the cars started lining up behind me. Terrible service. Then they messed up my deposit, so I had to call when I got home to explain, and they finally corrected it. This bank is so slow. They either need to hire new personnel or new managers. I really don't like to leave bad reviews, but this drive-thru is still slower than any I have used. Someone from management needs to do something, or maybe it's the management that needs a revamp. I will change my review if it ever gets better, but it's unlikely. They spent a lot of money on the interior of the lobby. Now spend some money and hire personnel that actually want to work.

Went above and beyond. Met all my needs and put me in the best position to succeed. I would definitely recommend everyone to try them out.
Switching to another bank, this bank thinks it’s OK to remove money from your account without your permission. Also, their customer service is a joke minimum you sit on hold for 45 minutes. Save yourself some time and find a real bank.
I recently opened a personal checking account here thinking that this bank may be a better experience than the bigger banks; hoping for a old school neighborhood feel. I was explaining my needs to the manager and she seemed more concerned about being right than understanding what I was interested in doing. The assistant manager was very nice though. My biggest disappointment was the fact that she wouldn't notarize a few documents I had for the creation of my trust and said that they aren't allowed to notarize anything but banking documents. Now I have to go to the UPS STORE and spend $40 because my bank is more concerned about giving me legal advice or worried about being called as a witness than actually providing a service banks used to provide the customer. I will not be doing any more business here other than the basic account I opened.
I have checking and savings at Fulton Bank. Their service is Deplorable. On a scale of 1 to 10 is deserves a minus. Their 800 number line is always busy. Wait times are the longest. I visited my local branch for drive thru. 2 lanes. Unfortunately I was in the ATM lane. Not clearly marked. Inside I was told use other lane. Please clearly mark them. Another trip in the correct lane and no one answers. Walk inside and No one behind counter. Knock and call out. Anybody here? Finally someone comes out. Why No answer in drive thru, why no one at counter? Oh, we are all in back. Sorry. Hey this bank wears out the word. Sorry just doesn't cut it any more. Please pass along my complaint. Old bank gave free checking for seniors and now you need to pay for them. Large savings no longer give you an incentive to deposit. Rates are horrible. I withdrew funds because of my dissatisfaction. Recommend DUE NOT CONSIDER THIS BANK.
If you want to be robbed of your hard earned money, THIS is the bank to go to! If they had a customer service department i would rate it a big 0! but lucky for them they dont have customer service. But that also translates to put your money in this bank and good luck with EVER speaking to anyone about anything about YOUR money. this money hoarding establishment has 0 interest in helping their customers make better financial decisions. When opening a checking account, a false explanation was made. I understand it can happen, but when the follow-up is requested, the "person" over the phone rejected any help while keep saying "Unfortunately". I am done with them - closing the account.
Sounds like the fulton bank that i know. Terrible that you had to go thru this but i am relieved in knowing that im not the only who has experienced numerous issues banking with them. i felt like the "bad guy" expressing my issues to a supervisor who didnt seem to give a crap anyway. their response to my review was something along the lines of, "we understand that we cant accomodate unique situations yadda yadda... UNIQUE SITUATION?! HAHAHA. it was a horrible attemp at trying to convince the public otherwise and make my review seem invalid. but seeing that alot of other individuals have similar complaints really confirmed my accusations. Its a sad situation since "we" as customers rely on banks to help gain some sort of financial stability, financial freedom, wealth development whatever your goal, so we make a choice to trust a bank with our finances. only to find out the hard way that WE CHOSE THE WRONG BANK to TRUST!! THEY WILL CLOSE their doors SOON. TIGMAN STREET BRANCH CLOSED!! WHITHALL BRANCH CLOSED!! HAMILTON ST BRANCH......SOON ENOUGH.....THEY WILL CLOSE!!

Horrible bank. I recently opened a business account with this bank. I make a nice sized deposit to wire a payment to an account. My client sends me their wiring instructions so I show someone at the bank and they process the wire. Unfortunately my customer did not know that incoming wires have to go a primary bank first. So I get that information from my clients bank and provide that new information to Fulton banks wire room. They confirm the information on the Federal Reserve website and tell me it looks correct and send the corrected wire. 2 days later I go into the Doylestown Pa. Branch to wirhdraw a few gundred dollars for my business and I am told my new account is restricted and I can't withdraw any money?
Nobody at the branch can tell me why? I try their customer service line and a recording says it could be a 45 minute wait time? How is that customer service?? So I call their corporate office and leave a voicemail for the CEO explaing what happened. No call back. I go in yesterday and ask the branch manager, Joe and he immediately gives me a ticked off look and says I don't care what you do, all arrogant and nasty? So I filed complaints with their banking regulators. Meanwhile my client is upset that they didn't get paid and Fulton bank has my money and won't let me have it?? Restricted too bad.
Worst customer service ever! I had a mortgage with Fulton Bank for nearly 10 years. It was the same situation always: terrible phone support, terrible website system, terrible behind the scenes paperwork procedures, but very helpful and friendly bank tellers. Even the tellers would say their paperwork procedures were confusing and odd. Last year I refinanced my mortgage. What a difference! The online website and phone support is fabulous. There is no bank which I thought would be a problem for a last minute payments but this has taught to plan ahead better and I haven't missed driving to a bank. A few days ago I got a letter in the mail from a company saying that my info with Fulton bank may have been compromised. I am assuming this is spam but wanted to call Fulton to double check. A lady answered the phone and asked did someone redirect you? I said no. She then says I need to transfer you to someone that can help. (Translation I need to politely get rid of you!) She put me back into the call log to start the process of the automated prompts. After 15 minutes of jumping though hoops and pushing the appropriate numbers I hear, your wait time is 40 to 60 min. LOL I hung up! So thankful this is not my bank anymore.

Hello! I have been with Fulton Bank for years! I have never been treated as poorly as I was yesterday! Whether I’ve had $5.00 or $10,000, I have always been treated professionally! I have used different branches, depending on my location at the time. I went to my home branch yesterday to cash a check from my Husband’s account. I do this once a month. I have never been questioned. His check is also from Fulton! I worked in a bank for many years. I understand the in’s & out’s, unlike the average customer. I was told I had to deposit his Fulton check into my Fulton account because I didn’t have enough to cover said check. I was spoken to with a very bad attitude. I remained calm. I asked, do you see my Husband’s availability looking into his account? She replied yes but that doesn’t matter because if it bounces, I’m responsible. My response, you can clearly see his check isn’t going to bounce. She proceeded to ask someone else, came back to me, said, I’ll do it today but not again. Did my transaction, never spoke another word. I mean nothing & walked away. Poor customer service, the worst. The bank can see immediately if a check drawn on them, if the funds are available! They have no reason or the right to withhold funds from any human being if the funds are drawn on their own bank and are readily available! It’s all about control! It’s absolutely ridiculous! If someone wants to cash a Fulton check, at their Fulton bank & funds are available, they should not be bullied into making a full deposit of that check!!! I completely understand if it’s an outside check or funds are not available!!! You all should be ashamed of yourselves! We live in America for Pete’s sake!!! I am not a person to ever write a poor review! This had me riled up. My poor Brother goes through this all the time with Fulton! He’s currently looking for another bank. His payroll check is a Fulton check and he’s a Fulton customer. They refuse to give him any cash! They make him deposit the entire check when funds are clearly available! It’s awful! They switched their mortgage auto draft system and messed up many payments. Which would be okay if they would remedy it once the situation was clear. However I have been given the run around for 3 months despite many phonecalls and reassurance things were resolved. I have an entire months mortgage sitting out in limbo that they haven’t been able to return, and have wasted many hours with this bank. The representatives have all been lovely people, but that doesn’t make up for the bank’s inability to function as a mortgage provider. Be cautious if initiating a loan with them
