How do I transfer my domains away from Heart Internet to Ecenica?

Learn how to transfer your domain names from Heart Internet to Ecenica. We include steps for unlocking your domain, updating an IPS Tag (.uk domains) and obtaining an EPP code (Domain Auth Code).

How to unlock a domain

Follow these steps to unlock your domain to transfer your domain to Ecenica.

  1. Login to Heart Internet.
  2. Click Manage Domain Names.
  3. Select the domain you wish to manage.
  4. Click Manage Now.
  5. Click the Domain Locking icon.
  6. If the status of your domain is shows as locked, click ‘Click here’ to unlock the domain.
  7. Your domain will now be unlocked and ready to transfer away.
  8. Click back to free services to return to the options.

How to change an IPS tag for .co.uk, .uk, .org.uk and .me.uk domains

  1. Login to Heart Internet.
  2. Click Manage Domain Names.
  3. Select the domain you wish to manage.
  4. Click Manage Now.
  5. Click the Change Nominet Tag icon.
  6. On the Change Nominet Tag screen, locate the last click here and click the link.
  7. In the New Tag: field, enter ECENICA.
  8. Click Change Nominet Tag.
  9. Click It is correct, please proceed.
  10. The IPS Tag will now be updated.
  11. Complete your UK domain transfer to Ecenica following the steps here

How to request an EPP Code (Domain Auth Code)

  1. Login to Heart Internet.
  2. Click Manage Domain Names.
  3. Select the domain you wish to manage.
  4. Click Manage Now.
  5. Click the Domain Auth Code icon
  6. Carefully copy down the domain authorisation code shown in bold. We’ll prompt you for your EPP code when submitting your domain transfer with Ecenica.
  7. Click back to free services to return to the options.
