Using the example of a 30-year-old male non-smoker living in California, we ran a quick-term life insurance quote. The quote's coverage amounts ranged from $50,000 to $250,000, with terms of 10, 20, and 30 years available.

A monthly premium of $14.90 was quoted for a $100,000 10-year level term policy. The same policy was quoted at $22.60 per month for 30 years. Those are reasonable rates but not the cheapest we've seen for comparable coverage.
