Despitely you have to give 1 star

Despitely you have to give 1 star, even that is not valued worth. A fraude organisation, losing the ownership of a week condo in parkway orlando. Charge to points in europe, paying extra 3500 eur but by no choise of resort ended the relation, by paying one year for nothing, and no exchange. Now 4 years later still got summations for payments. Even pirates have honour code, these boy not.

Rude customer service received from…

Rude customer service received from RCI. Phoned today and spoke to a lady, to explain I hadn't received an email her colleague was due to send me the day before, the response was we will send it again. While this is what I needed, an acknowledgement or a sorry for not sending it when they said they would, would have been nice. Even when I pointed out an apology would be nice, still nothing other than a raised voice and a re stating that they would send it out again. The other companies involved in helping with my insurance claim due to a family bereavement, have been much more understanding and helpful.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. I have been trying to contact RCI South Africa from the UK for several weeks to book my expiring replacement holiday which was insured. Phone calls are cut off before you reach a person to speak to and emails to several different email addresses are unanswered, aside from a request for feedback on the experience. They don’t deserve any stars.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

There should be a zero star option!
DO NOT BUY INTO THIS BUNCH OF COWBOYS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
We've been RCI points owners for years, as time has went by it has become harder and harder to get anywhere. Clearly they have oversold the timeshares. I've only managed to get one booking in over 6 years. I travel at least twice a year. Since covid, we've been unable to book anywhere in Europe.
They really should be taken to court on the Trades descriptions act, as what they are selling is Not Fit for Purpose and in reality, completely illegal. They cannot come up with the goods while we have to pay hundreds of pounds each year for maintenance and membership fees, yet no accommodation.
Wish I'd never bought in and there's no way out without losing a massive initial investment. Avoid at all costs..

Happy to take our money though, even though we can't book anything. Charging us extra to keep our points, that we couldn't use in the 1st place. RCI are 100% responsible for the overselling. In your own words, over 3 million members but only 40,000 resorts. Those figures just don't work out if everyone wants to take a holiday once a year. It's more like a lottery than a holiday..
Sick to death of the gaslighting that comes from this company!! Do you not think I've tried calling you to book, yet nothing. I do not have the ability to book 18months in advance, due to my husband working off shore. Jeezo, I could be dead in 18 months. When I want a holiday, I want to book 3 months in advance, MAX! It used to work like that, no longer after covid. Only availability, anywhere in the world are the stupid, rip-off "all inclusives" that want £300-500 per day, per person. What's the point of having rci if I have to pay £600 per night. I wouldn't spend £600 a month on food and drink for myself and my husband, I'm defo not spending it on one night at a hotel..
Absolute rip off, hopefully someone takes you to court soon!

Do not become a member

Wow! I should've read these reviews before I bought in. These are legit reviews. We became members in 2020 and have been nothing but disappointed. We were given 3 bonus weeks and have only used one. They have been difficult to work. They tell you resort fees are covered when they aren't. They don't hold their employees or their words accountable. Honestly, I think the members need to file a class action lawsuit against this company. Please do Not buy into this company. It really is nothing but smoke and mirrors.

I wish I can give them zero or negative…

I wish I can give them zero or negative star, if possible. I have been a member for almost 2 years now, and when I want to use points I still have to pay $200plus out of pocket. I pay monthly $164 and I dont have any benefits from it. When I asked them to cancel my membership, they said they can’t. Basically, I pay $164 for nothing. They are happy st**ling.

Is 7 Across the same as RCI

Is 7 Across the same as RCI? We were with RCI, got poor results from them, then changed to DAE. Now they're 7 Across. When we phone they're in the same building. They never have suitable places, even outside school holidays time. Rubbish service.

This should be a zero star

This should be a zero star. This company is the biggest scam and joke ever. Stay away from this SCAM. You look at other travel companies like Expedia and Booking.com the prices are cheaper. The RCI Exchange Plus is exactly like that. You pay the same price + you lose 10K plus of your exchange points. This company should be investigated for fraud and consumer abuse and stealing from hard working taxpayers.

Unbelievable

Unbelievable! We have been Wyndham owners since 1997, and have traveled the world staying in beautiful resorts using RCI exchange. The exchange cost over the years has of course risen from under $100 to $299. HOWEVER, with the new Exchange Plus program, in addition to paying with our week's worth of points, they wanted to charge a WHOPPING $1500 for only 5 nights in a hotel room at Moody Gardens in Galveston! I noticed that so many resorts that were always available for simple exchange are suddenly EXCHANGE PLUS. In our many years of timeshare ownership, we have seen constant "Updates" and renaming of levels, which in other words, means "new ways to screw the owners!"

Hi Sherrell, Exchange Plus inventory is primarily available for highly demanded, geographical locations, and/or dates where RCI receives very few or no vacation ownership week deposits. Although RCI is affiliated with over 4,000 resorts worldwide and has over 2 million members in North America alone, Exchange Plus inventory does not originate from member deposits. This inventory has been hand-picked to enhance RCI's inventory based on feedback received from RCI members.

Exchange Plus inventory often represents the only vacation options for some locations and/or dates. Although it is not possible to completely filter these inventory options out when performing direct searches online, the majority of Exchange Plus units are hotel rooms or studios. Therefore, searching for one-bedroom units or larger will exclude almost all Exchange Plus inventory. Additionally, you may use the filters on the left side of the search page to search for resorts designated as ‘Hospitality’ or higher, since Exchange Plus inventory is not included in RCI's award rating system. It is important to understand, however, that this will also filter out all standard-rated resorts, many of which are very popular with our members. Standard-rated resorts may simply have fewer amenities or could be in out-of-the-way locations.

If your desired exchange vacation is not immediately available and your travel dates are more than two months away, you may want to broaden your search parameters and/or start an ongoing search request instead. Only deposited vacation inventory will match ongoing search requests.

Very frustrating website I have spent…

Very frustrating website I have spent literally hours just trying to look at availability only to keep having to sign in at every step. Each time you press something you like it asks you to sign in again totally p***** with it so very annoying that I just gove up 🤷‍♀️🙄

When this occurs, information being communicated to and from our site is blocked and causes one's system to simply time out. I would like to give them 0 stars

I would like to give them 0 stars. I have tried on three separate occasions to book a trip to visit my son using my RCI points and (even with flexible dates) they always tell me there is nothing available. When I called today they offered to book me a hotel in Florida using all 36,500 of my points PLUS paying $1,299 PLUS resort fees.
No thank you. I can book an Air BnB or a hotel on booking.com so much easier and cheaper.
Their website is also terrible. Not at all user friendly, very difficult to search & when I finally find something I get a message that there are “technical difficulties” and I should “try again later.”
I just hope others read this before they make the terrible decision I did to purchase with Wyndham / RCI.

SCAM…I have been a member of RCI (Scam)…

SCAM…I have been a member of RCI (Scam) going on 10+ years. Have deposited numerous weaks from Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach equalling 88 unused trading points. Problem is u can never use your points for an “in season” destination. Meaning u CANNOT GO TO THE CARRIBEAN WHENS ITS WINTER IN THE US OR GO SKIING IN VAIL WHEN ITS SNOWING. ALL PER THE NEGATIVE RESULTS ON THEIR WEBSITE AND SPEAKING WITH THEIR REPS. DISASTER; AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Just had a call from a debt collector…

Just had a call from a debt collector as RCI say they have not collected our monthly deposit since September 2023.
When we signed this agreement you had all our details, Name, phone number email address but none phoned or emailed to ask what had transpired, but you chose to send our details to a debt collector even though you made no contact to establish why to payments had stopped. I am far from impressed with RCI and should never have committed to sign any agreements with this terrible company. They are now saying we need to pay US2,000 to get out of the agreement or pay the US1212 for the arrears! It would have been nice if someone from RCI had contacted us before going to the Debt collectors as RCI can sell their unscrupulous deals but have no customer service system to contact the customers if there is a problem!

Just found out the booking fee is now $420 Canadian!!…

Just found out the RCI booking fee is now $420 Canadian This is SCANDALOUS!! And it is non-refundable after 24 hours. Another $129 to protect your points but not your money!! The last time I found a place to book (which can be very difficult) the cost was approx $320 and there was an insurance option which I believe was $180 (also expensive). People are trying to get out of their timeshares because of the unreasonably high costs but you can't even give them away these days...

RCI are a very poor service delivery…

RCI are a very poor service delivery company. They do not assess the resorts they subject their members to. A waste of money. Currently using Sterling Ooty- Fern Hill and I think I’m in the domestic quarters. It’s atrocious, to the point I’m cutting short a 7 day stay to 3 days. RCI can keep the profits.

The absolute worse

The absolute worse. Had our checkout date wrong. Removed all our stuff from the room. Stole all our stuff. Long story short, resort admitted belongings were stolen and wrote us a check for the theft. Vacation Village Orlando.

Another stay had our checkout date three days earlier than on reservation online. Had to call and verify confirmation or they were going to remove our stuff. Not to mention our room had cockroaches.

This company is fraud. Living in a third would country environment with RCI. Disappointment.

RCI is a sham

I paid to be a part of unlimited vacation clubs and as part of the deal I received 40 weeks to exchange through RCI. It gave me 18 trading power per week. I have been searching for hours to find a half decent exchange through RCI and all it will give me access to is the run down, old, low rating bookings. It is a sham and feel very taken by what I was told would be available to what is actually available.

Frustrated RCI Member

We own a week through RCI and are Platinum Members. We have always been able to transfer our timeshare week and always enjoy our vacations. However, in the last 2 years, everywhere we stay Wyndham is trying to buy our RCI week from us. We have also found that there are very little weeks available through RCI. Anyone experiencing this? Makes for a very frustrated RCI customer.

I have been a member since 1984.

I have been a member since 1984.
It was wonderful. Many choices and I traded all over the world. NOW it is a joke!. Few resorts available, vacation plus is about the same cost as if I booked it directly with the hotel. I believe soon everyone will pull out and find an alternative unless RCI can improve their inventory. I do like the point system, but with nothing available other than off season resorts or added cost for vac plus, I don't think they will survive.

Horrible resorts with less than quality service, food, staff, not enough room to list the horrible experience in Cabo San Jose, Mexico.

From the pick-up at the airport to the watered down food, drinks (didn’t even know you could water down guacamole and nacho cheese but they found a way) to the less than concierge assistance, RCI resorts are like staying in a third world country. Could not wait to leave and actually left a day early. Do not recommend at all. Main customers appear to be locals and the older folks that were taken advantage of.
