Job Description As an experienced Project Management professional, you will be responsible for managing technology projects or programs running across one or multiple Lines of Business targeted at achieving overall business goals. You will manage projects or programs from initiation through implementation, including multiple technology development methods. You will be accountable for managing high cost budgets that can exceed $50MM for assigned projects and programs. You will monitor project or program progress and adjust resources and priorities. Coaching and mentoring less experienced team members, including people management, will be a key responsibility. Requires interaction with executive leadership and cross-LOB resources to deliver projects and programs.
As a team, you and your peers will be responsible for driving results by managing projects to completion in support of firm-wide technology initiatives. While you will be part of a tight-knit team of project management professionals who share your passion for technology, you'll also gain access to the best minds in the business-both as part of the JPMorgan Chase & Co. global technology community, and through our partnerships with some of the most important tech firms in the world.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferably in the financial services industry
  • Establishes project or program requirements, priorities and deadlines
  • Ensures project or program is completed in accordance with all Risk, Architecture and other relevant firm-wide guidelines
  • Coordinates resources (staff, equipment, vendors and consultants) across one or more projects or programs
  • Manages budget for assigned projects and programs, monitors progress and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly
  • Coaches and mentors less experienced team members and may also include people management responsibilities
  • Develops plans and manages interdependencies between development teams and business units
  • Leads medium to large sized teams in technology development lifecycle
  • Publishes project and program status and executive reporting
  • Interacts with executive leadership and cross-LOB resources to deliver projects and programs
  • May include direct accountability for people management
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals

About the Team The Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group at JPMorgan Chase aligns the firm's cybersecurity, access management, controls and resiliency teams. The group proactively and strategically partners with all lines of business and functions to enable them to design, adopt and integrate appropriate controls; deliver processes and solutions efficiently and consistently; and drive automation of controls. The group's number one priority is to enable the business by keeping the firm safe, stable and resilient.
High Risk Roles (HRR) are sensitive roles within the technology organization that require high assurance of the integrity of staff by virtue of 1) sensitive cybersecurity and technology functions they perform within systems or 2) information they receive regarding sensitive cybersecurity or technology matters. Users in these roles are subject to enhanced pre-hire screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks (as allowed by law). The enhanced screening will need to be successfully completed prior to commencing employment or assignment.
