Langley Federal Credit Union Reviews
What's Your Rating?
So, I am not complaining about the product, but I am complaining about the lack of knowledge Langley Credit Union employers and employees have with respect to this product. After this account was opened it was bought to my attention that although it is considered a restrictive type of account, and not having physical access to a branch, I was introduced to this Shared Branch Product which sounded superb, again, given we are not local. Since the opening of this account, and every time thereafter of calling in, every single employer and employee has given me a different conjecture concerning the intricates of this Shared Branch Product. It has gone nothing like I was initially told: meaning, I would be able to go to one of the branches listed as a Shared Branch participant and deposit as well as withdraw. Friday, 22 July 2022, I went to the Shared Branch Participant to withdraw from my account with Langley Federal Credit Union. It took me all of an estimation of 3 hours to retrieve access to my funds. Finally, a supervisor came on the line and allowed me to explain and express the situation, and my views.
My major concern was being able to gain access to my funds while going through this probation period. I could tell she listened in depth because she researched the new account and discovered that the least she could do is issue the Debit / Visa Card so that I could have an option with the Shared Branch Product, which is access to the Allpoint ATM. This particular Supervisor stated that she agreed that I needed access as well. She not only responded in a professional manner verbally, but she backed it up by walking me through the entire process right up to the point of when I physically received my funds in my hand. She further elaborated that the only stress I, as a restricted member, will have is that each time I used the Shared Branch Product I'd have to call in first so the Supervisor could release the restrictions for the deposit or withdrawal to take place: and then they would be reinstated. Three months later, a review of the account will take place: to include 3 direct deposits and the account being in good standing.
As you all can see and read, she was the only one who seemed to know the intricates of this product. After speaking to her, I called and then went on the assumption that maybe something had changed since July 22 to withdraw some funds and Kurt the first Supervisor stated that he had no authority to remove the restrictions until such a time after 40 minutes of waiting the first time. I was so livid because we had been sitting at the bank since 2 something. I did hang up in his face from frustration and embarrassment because I earnestly expected things to go the way that efficient Supervisor said it would, The second Supervisor, Shawn, fed off of what Kurt had put in his notes for me not to receive any funds.
In closing, if this form of business service is what Langley Federal Credit Union personnel pride themselves on, I will have to move on. It's just that research is so tedious. I pray the CEO/President read this egregious complaint: for it clearly demonstrates the need for upper management to be more involved: especially if one expects the employers and employees to demonstrate a sense of proud professionalism for Langley Federal Credit Union Institution and its' leaders. I did not put my personal information as a point of contact for fear of further reprisal to my account. However, in considering my associate as a potential member, I took him alone for the ride today to show him how the Shared Branch Product work and ended up looking and feeling like a fool on every end. I will not be recommending this credit union to anyone.
