Requesting / Returning Lee College laptops

Requests:

If you are a currently enrolled Lee College student and do not have access to a computer or internet to complete your coursework, you may be eligible to borrow a laptop from the college.

  • Fill out an online application.
  • Laptops can be checked out for a semester at a time.
  • Students must enrolled to renew laptops.
  • After completing the application students who have been approved will be notified by phone or email regarding checkout procedures. If you need immediate assistance contact the Library at 281-425-6379.

Pick up & Return Hours:

  • Mon. to Thurs. 7:30am to 9:00pm

  • Friday 7:30am to 2:00 pm

Renewals:

If you are already registered for the Summer 2023 semester and want to renew a laptop that you have checked out from Spring 2023, call or drop by the library to renew.

Returns: 

Return laptops to the Lee College Library during the hours listed above.

Technology Help

Lee College students and employees can request IT help in the following ways:

Microsoft 365

Microsoft 365:

  • All students and employees of Lee College have access to Microsoft 365 through the college.  This includes apps like:

    • Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, OneDrive, etc.

  • There are several ways to access the programs, such as:

    • Go to the Lee College Logins page:  www.lee.edu/logins

      • Choose the button titled "Office 365"

OR:

  • Log in to your Lee College email account.  Click the white dots in the top, left-hand corner of your screen:

  • A menu will open with links to the other Microsoft programs you can access.  It looks like this:

    • Microsoft Apps available through Lee College

  • You can also access your Microsoft 365 account by logging into http://office.com with your Lee College email and password.

Students and employees of Lee College may also download the desktop versions of Microsoft Office applications onto ONE computer.  This will allow you to install the applications on your home computer for free, if you would prefer to work on a desktop version of the programs rather than a web version. 

Grammarly:

  • Lee College students and employees also have access to Grammarly, an online tool that you can use to improve your writing.
    • Grammarly checks your writing for spelling and grammar errors, as well as providing vocabulary and style suggestions.
    • Access your Lee College subscription by logging into Blackboard and clicking on the "Institution Page" link on the blue sidebar.  Scroll down to the section that says "Lee College Grammerly information" for instructions.

On-campus WiFi:

There are two Lee College WiFi networks.

  • Lee-IWIFI : Students, faculty and staff.  Use your Lee College credentials to log in.
  • Lee-Guest : for campus visitors.  Username: leeguest  Password: highered
