Using the Student Employment Website

If you were a supervisor, budget head or registered contact during the previous academic year, you should have an Employer ID and password already created and would have been e-mailed by the financial aid office directions on how to activate your account. If you are unsure of this, please contact Keisa Davis at 617-349-8762 or at kdavis23@lesley.edu

If you are a new supervisor, budget head or contact person, please go to the Lesley University Student Employment Website, select “Off Campus Employers”, and then select “Request A Login”

Update the request a Login form as follows:

·         First Name = Insert First Name

·         Last Name = Insert Last Name

·         Email = Your agency/instistution e-mail address. Note: This will be your Employer Login ID.  

·         Employer Drop Down Window = Select Your Department Name/ Agency / Non-profit Name

·         Job Title Field = Choose the job title used in previous academic years or enter a  new job title here

·         Choose a Password = Enter password and Confirm your password.

·         Press Submit

You will receive an e-mail within 24 hours from the Financial Aid Office communicating that your Request for a Supervisor Login has been successfully approved.

Posting a Job

If the job you wish to post has never existed and a student has never been hired for the position, please contact Keisa Davis at 617-349-8762 or at kdavis23@lesley.edu for instructions on how to create a student employment position.

If a job position was approved for the previous academic year, then a job description and template have already been created and you must complete the following steps:

1. Go to the LESLEY Student Employment Home Page, select On-Campus Employers or Off Campus Employers and select Job Management Login.

2. Log in using your Employer User ID and password. You will be placed on the Job Control Panel

3. Check the box next to “View Jobs in Review Mode” or “View Jobs in Storage Mode”.

4. Please confirm the information pre-printed and complete the following field data and please update the fields noted in RED:   

Job Category - Check this list to ensure the categories represent what job categories your jobs fall within. This field assists Students when they are searching for a particular job.

• Job Title

• Job Description

• Job Requirements

Number of Available Openings

Hours per week

• The start and end date will be

• Primary Contact Person

• Budget Head / Secondary Contact Person

• Phone

• Fax

• Email Address

• Location 

The click “Submit” and you will be taken to the “Add and Edit Questions” questions page. The first five questions are mandated that all students must complete. You can also add questions to this job description to help you identify students you may wish to interview. Questions can be formatted as (answers must be separated by a comma):

1. Multiple Line Questions: Example “When are you available to work?” Answers: Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Saturday

2. Single Choice Questions (Yes/No): Example “Can you type?” Answers: Yes, No, Maybe, I Don’t Know”

3. Multiple Choice Questions: Example: “Select from the following list of skills which skills you possess.” Answers: computer literate, organized, creative, good public speaker

6. If the application looks acceptable, please select “Click here when finished”

7. Following is the final list of questions that must be answered about your job posting in order to have it successfully posted:

• When do you want this job to be reviewed for approval? Select “As Soon As Possible”

• When do you want to list the job on the web site? Select “Right Now”


• Do you want JobMail sent when this job has been listed? (Yes/No) – JobMail is a service that Students can sign up for if the institution is interested in the service. This service requires a student to select criteria for their preferred job. Based on the criteria, if a job is posted that fits the Student’s criteria, an email will be sent to the student notifying them of a job that has recently been posted that matches their job criteria.

• For how many days do you want the job to be listed on the site? Please select a period of time that the job can be posted.

8. Select “Click here when finished”

9. On the next page, click on the “Return to your control panel”

At this point, your request to post the position will be forwarded to Keisa Davis. Within 24 hours your will receive an e-mail that will notify you that your position has been posted to the Financial Aid Office website.

Hiring a Student

Go to the LESLEY Student Employment Home Page, select On-Campus Employers or Off Campus Employers and select Job Management Login.

Log in utilizing your Employer login information you just set up during the Request Login process. Once you are successfully logged in, you will be placed on the Job Control Panel. Locate the job for which you want to hire your student and click on “View Listed Jobs” link.

You will be taken to the “View Job Applications” panel and will be able to view students who have applied for employment consideration. Follow the listed directions to on the panel preview, view and hire a student

Click “Hire” in the right tab to begin the hiring process

Select a student from the online applicant list on the left

Verify the name of the student you wish to hire and click “Select Student”

Verify any additional information (number of hires, etc.) and click “Continue to next step”. If the student cannot be hired you will be told what the student needs to complete before moving on to the next panel. All W-4 and I-9 forms need to be returned to the Financial Aid Office

The next form should be mostly pre-filled but if necessary, enter the wage, hours per week and employment start/end dates.
