Extremely poor customer service from Lincoln Automotive Financial Services and West Point Lincoln. Dealership and lender failed to properly communicate with our arrangement.
We leased a 2019 Navigator and paid for the entire lease up front.
When we returned the vehicle, nobody at the West Point Lincoln dealership said anything about anything. We turned in the car, they inspected it and thanked us for our business. Off we go.
Eight months later, I receive a letter from a collection agency indicating I owed $395 to Ford. My credit score dropped more than 100 points overnight.
Since we leased the Navigator, we had moved to a new home and I sold my company. I had a US Postal Service mail forwarding order in place for me and my family and I still owned the property and had a renter. I did have a different phone number since that was part of the company sale.
I also purchased a Ford Bronco (paid in full up front). So, I was confused as to why I would receive a collection notice involving Ford.
I searched through my email, and I found one email in my spam folder. It was automatically placed into spam because it appeared to be a phishing scam.
I opened the email in a safe sandbox environment, and the email had the big blue oval Ford logo on it indicating there was a message for me in my Ford account and I needed to sign in to read it.
Clearly this was spam or a scam because I never registered for a Ford portal account.
After further investigation, it was determined the debt was actual for Lincoln Financial Services.
I reached out to the dealership attempting to learn why I was not told of this when I dropped of the car and why I was not charged at that time.
I learned the dealership had since been sold, and nobody there was willing to help me because my transaction occurred with previous ownership.
I reached out to Lincoln Automotive Financial Services to try to better understand the situation as well as resolve it. They would not accept payment because they had already turned it over to collections. So, I immediately paid the collection agency and provided proof.
Too late. Lincoln Automotive Financial Services communicated it had exhausted its resources in attempting to contact me regarding the debt, and there was nothing more they would do.
Exhausted its resources attempting to contact me? One email -- and not even from Lincoln but from Ford?
Since I just bought a Bronco, Ford had my updated email, phone number and address, and Ford owns Lincoln -- so my information was accessible in their database.
Years of work to build up my credit score only to have it destroyed for $395 I would have happily paid at the time I turned in the vehicle.

I love that they have options to buy the same car that you’re leasing at a more reasonable cost versus buying it used somewhere else. They were also accommodating with lease extensions at the same monthly payment.
Excellent terms for a four year lease. Previously I purchased 2 Lincoln cars but, This is my second lease with Lincoln financing. Love the Lincoln Corsair vehicle.
They are running a scam to collect late fees. If the auto payments fails to post, they only inform you after its late. If you forgot to pay they only tell you after it's late so they can collect 42 dollars. I called them to ask them to change and they said they would NOT inform me by either text, call or email in the future. They also added that it was my fault for paying late. I hate this company. I will never buy from the again.

I have really enjoyed my Lincoln. It’s been a great SUV. My Lincoln app is easy to use. I use it every month to pay my car payment. I plan on buying this car at the end of my lease. I hope they give me a great financing rate!
I purchased this vehicle with 0% financing and a bumper to bumper warranty for 4 years or 50,000 miles...I will keep this vehicle until the warranty is up.
Their financial division is awesome! They are willing to work with new credit and small business owners. Got the car I wanted for the price I wanted and they gave me a great interest rate and didn’t add any fees or other nonsense some lenders add.
When I bought the car, the financing was very easy and no stress. When I have had to contact them, they have always answered my questions very professionally.
Bought a 2017 Lincoln and enrolled in payroll deduction. I started getting letters for partial payments due. I call Lincoln financial , the person I spoke to said that the account looked fine, the letters were an accident and she would fix it. 3 weeks later I get a notice my credit score dropped 30 points because of a late payment. Called Lincoln again and asked why would I get charged a late fee and why was a late payment put on my credit report. The Lincoln operator said it was not my fault, they had not calculated my payments correctly. She said she would send it up for review and she took off the late charges. It's been since Dec 2020 I am still getting letters and phone calls. This company does not care about its customers, whatever problems they create for you is your problem. Very disappointed in this company.

Great looking and riding vehicles . Comfortable ride with massaging seats and 3 rows with captain seats. Heated and cooled front and back seats
Logging in to the Account Manager with paperless billing has been a nightmare. The SSO prompt glitches and doesn't allow Password State to fill in saved passwords in a new requirement to change passwords. I depend on saved passwords now - can anyone memorize hundreds of passwords? Also, where is my full account number if I don't get invoices? This stuff is nowhere to be found in FAQ either. I shouldn't have to call Customer service for these things, it is 2020. I will never get another Lincoln because of this nonsense.

Love my Lincoln MKZ...Lincoln financial is awesome??I leased the Lincoln MKZ since 2010 and the design has gotten better with time. Looking forward to continue leasing Lincoln’s for years to come ????
Great All, except they will not accept payments with Credit Cards, we're not able to claim cash back for all the payments we make. That's a Shame, we're missing out on that. Some Service Agents are not as friendly as others, that should be taken care of.
