1/15/2022 I started making weekly payments to Upright law, in the amount of $40. I finally paid the total amount and called them to let them know I wanted them to file. They told me my case was cancelled and I would receive a refund in 30 days, I did receive $100 and that was all that was returned to me out of the $2,030.00. I struggled to pay this and now the creditors are detaching my wages because they failed to file my bankruptcy for me or return my money so I can pay someone else to do this.Initial Complaint

I hired upright law for Bankruptcy and paid over $3000. I couldn't finish paying because I am disabled and have a lot of creditors on me everyday. I couldn't finish paying in the time frame allowed over a year and I can't get a refund. I dot think they really want to help anybody. I was paying them over $300 a month and that's more than my car payment. Now I am about to loose everything cause they have all my money. I am a disabled Veteran and they don't even care. I paid in full and they asked if I still wanted to file bankrupcy and I said no I didnt want to file anymore and they told me they were sending me a check back minus their fee of $180.00,when the week passed I tried calling them and the number was disconnected.Initial Complaint

In 2019 I paid Upright Law $1400 to help me file for bankruptcy. I chose yem because the person who got me to sign up told me not to worry that I didn't know how to get some of the paperwork that was needed because they had a whole department that would help me with that. I paid and within a couple days later a "lawyer" called to tell me she had been assigned to my case. She told me to gather up all the debts I wanted to be included in my bankruptcy, if I did not have paperwork for it it would not be included. I explained gat I had no idea how to get some of the paperwork and she told me that pretty much that wasn't her problem. I spent the next year calling the customer service asking who I could talk to for help and why they told me hey could help me if they couldn't. Finally I called and asked about a refund. They informed me that I would only get half my money back because they had already done work on my case (yet I was told by the lawyer she couldn't do anything till I got the paperwork). Finally I actually located the most important of the papers I needed and I called and they told me they had "let me go" as geir client because I did not provide the papers and that I would not recieve any of my money back and that it was my fault. I'm a single mom of 5 kids with a full time job so when I finally got the chance to try and see if I could file a complaint with them and get some of my money back they were closed. I never thought about filing a complaint here because honestly I didn't really know I could until I started googling how to request a refund from them. I won't lie I would have to really **** to see if I still had my receipts or anything. If I cannot get anything back I hope that this maybe helps someone who can.Initial Complaint

I paid Upright law $2,500 for bankruptcy and have never heard back from them and have no way of contacting them for a refund. I have emailed them at a contact email with nothing back. How can I get this resolved? finally got online and realized it is not just me.Initial Complaint

I paid money on a monthly basis to upright law towards a chapter 7 bankruptcy a total of $1000 I received a letter stating they were closing when I asked where my money was and about a refund they hung up the phone I tried several times to call back but got no answerInitial Complaint

I contacted Upright Law in 2022abiut bankruptcy.Agreeing to pay $200 per month until til fees were paid.I paid two payments of $200 each,but couldn't may more payments for awhile due to husband's cancer issues.I was told last year if I didn't complete the payment agreement,that they would keep what I had paid.Since the company no.li her exists is that still true?If not,I'd like to get the funds I have paid to upright law.
