Hello Salesforce Thinkers, In our previous blog we learned about
Change the default logo of an app in Lightning Experience in this blog we are going to learn how Organization Admins Can Login as Any User.
It is possible to allow an administrator to login as any user in Salesforce.com. This feature allows administrators to log in as any user without asking internal end-users to grant login access.
Administrators with Modify All Data permission and delegated administrators with View Setup and Configuration permission can log in as any user without asking end users to grant access.
Granting administrator access available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited and Developer Editions.
How to enable this option?
1. From Setup >> Enter Login Access Policies in the Quick Find box.
2. Then select Login Access Policies.
3. Enable Administrators Can Log in as Any User.
let’s check it, navigate to Setup >> Administration >> Manage Users >> Users.
You will see a Login link next to all your user’s records.
Click on Login for any user. This will open a new tab for that particular login they would be instantly logged into Salesforce.
The only difference is that at the top right of the screen it would show that the System Admin was logged in as another user.
Note:
- If an Administrator updated or created a record while logged in as that user, Salesforce would log this action as if it was completed by that user not the Admin.
- This is not available on Production environment.
Thank you for reading this blog. Hope it is helpful.
