login turned off in System Preferences?

im not sure thats the issue. I've been able to create secondary accounts on this computer and the avatars for those show up.

I also compared the settings for login on this computer to those on my MBP and they are identical (MBP does not have this issue).

I think it's something with this particular account.

Not a big deal, but it does bother me. Can I use migration assistant to transfer the data under this profile to another profile?

Have you tried changing your accounts avatar picture to something else?

Yes...I've tried different photos from the default menu, my photo library, and even a new photo from the iMac camera..nothing. its quite bizarre.

Ok....

Fixed. Not exactly sure which of the following actions fixed the issue, but I went in and changed the photo in three places. Address book, sys pref main page, and user profile page to the same thing. One of those was referencing a photo that no longer exists..Not sure which one but it may had been under my name in address book.

Oy...that was driving me crazy.
