I'm rating one star because that's the lowest I could go. I visited the branch on 70th Street and went to the teller for my transaction. When I was done, I mentioned I needed to speak to someone about my account. I went to the waiting area until my name was called. While waiting, a lady walked up to me in a very rude manner and stated, "We are not doing any car loans today!" I was looking confused. Then, as someone called my name, and as I walked away, I said, "I'm not here for a car loan." Now she looked lost because of how she handled the situation. At this point, I was so upset that I couldn't even focus on what I needed to do. I asked to speak with management and was told she was the manager (Erica), and the manager above her was not there. I will be there when they open because I will not tolerate being treated with disrespect. All of this happened because she didn't even ask what I needed; she assumed! And she gave me a direct "No" without even listening to me. If I had known the treatment I would receive here, I would have taken my business elsewhere. In my opinion, I wouldn't recommend this place at all.
Tisha was great !! I had fraudulent charges that has been filed back in February that I never received a answer to , so I moved my direct deposit to another institution, today MsTisha solved that. , and I’m finally getting my money back that was stolen from me through an online leak , so I’m gonna put my direct deposit back to Barksdale because of Tisha’s excellent service and problem solving!!! Thank you again!!! ✝️❤️

Great …..so far….thanks Barksdale Federal credit union!!!! U have been a great help in leanding a hand in the financing journey of my vehicle…..
Really good to do biz with. Has been exceptional through all the challenges this past year. Kept me caught up and ahead of the situation...could not ask for a better bank.
Barksdale Credit Union is great to work with. They have competitive rates on loans and make the process simple. I have worked with them for over 20 years.
Wish I could give a zero rating. They manipulate your account and transactions you make as well hold your direct deposit payroll check so they can hit you for overdraft fees. Called them out on it and the guy I spoke with offered to return half of the overdraft fees they unethically stole from my account.
I started banking with barkdale credit union years ago and it started out okay. But now they find any reason to charge you overdraft fees. They always send me offers about insurance policies and car. But the moment i decided to buy a car i had to go through another credit union because they said no. Also, i was in between jobs so i had a balance on my account they always send letters about paying my balance when i clearly explained to them what day i would pay on which was 3 phone calls ago. Thats just harassing people when you know the answer already. Then they convinced me to get a first time loan which they denied also. Im really thing about banking somewhere they really arent helping me at all. Its a headache more than helping me.
I originally came to BFCU because my car insurance company offered a discount if I was a member. I'm really glad that happened because I've been happy with them ever since. Though they have a lot of military members, you don't have to be in the military to sign up. I have no fees on my account and actually get an interest payment (which hardly happens anywhere these days). I recently found another way to save money with them ... my apartment complex requires that I pay via money order or cashiers check....I was paying for money orders until recently when one of the tellers at BFCU let me know that, as a member, you get one free cashiers check per month - so I'm just saving money all kinds of ways by being a member of BFCU!

I started with BFCU when I was stationed at Barksdale AFB back in 2001. I had a great experience with the checking and savings accounts and experienced no major problems with either. There was one situation when I separated from the military and was in the process of relocating that still bothers me. We always hear about how great credit unions are at working with their loyal members. Well, my wife and I went in to see about getting a personal loan to help with the move and the attitude and general unwillingness to even consider a small, 2k-3k loan was disappointing. They didn't even run a credit check, just listened and said no. It was because we were moving out of state, but we still maintain even to this day our accounts with them, even though they are no longer the primary.
