All iPads Remotely control an Ipad for people in lockdown.

I don’t think it’s possible for any app to control the screen/other apps. Maybe in a jail broken iPad?

Would love if you figured this out, I can can control a Mac from an iPad and a Mac from another Mac, but can't figure out how to control an iPad from anything else.

Yeah, you'd have to jailbreak the iPad to remotely control it.

"Control" isn't possible but there's an iOS app "Teamviewer Quicksupport" that at least shares the iOS device's screen. Seems to work well but it's a little clunky.

You can remotely view, but not control. The user has to enable video etc. and it's not super simple to do. I tried this with my elderly mother and it was pretty tough to do. It does help to see what's on their screen, but they still have to control all the input. TeamViewer has a solution.

TeamViewer can be used for this.

TeamViewer can now remotely support an iPad/iPhone?

May just support viewing rather than controlling.

Teach her how to soft reset the iPad or have her force close the apps and reload

I *think* Apple support was able to remote into my iPad once. Maybe they can assist in this way?

Using MBP 16 / 2019 - (**note: not targeted to a remote ipad (more than 6 feet away).
Only way I've been able to have pseudo-remote to the iPad is to cable it to the mac, open quicktime, start a recording, select the ipad as source, and the ipad screen shows up in a window on the mac.
Now using a bluetooth mouse and keyboard (I use the Logitech MX Keys keyboard and Performance MX mouse set - can connect to 3 different BT devices), switch to the ipad's device number (1 / 2 / 3 on the mx Keys, push-button on bottom of mouse), and you now have mouse/kb interaction with your ipad in a window on the screen of the macbook.

** Caveats:

• It's not technically 'remote control', but it does at least let you put the ipad aside and not look at the screen if you want
  • However, the best functionality comes with keeping the ipad in front of you as well, since sometimes using the touch-screen is quicker
  • Also noting some mouse lag when doing the quicktime method
• I'm exploring other air-play solutions which may improve this, along with making wireless airplay possible
  • This way full-power charging can occur while air-playing the ipad (since USB ports can't usually power/charge an ipad (needs to deliver more than 2Amps)
