I'm dying

Did a bank switch and they blocked my account immediately I've been left destitute now for 11 days I am becoming emaciated and am at risk of losing my job because I can't pay to travel. Definitely avoid at all costs. They told me to go to a food bank ok I'll just walk the 3 hours there and back in my condition. Edit After phoning multiple times a day I finally got through to an experienced member of the fraud team that was able to arrange for me to go into the branch and withdraw the cash. Bear this in mind if you are phoning about a problem I must have spoken to at least ten people about this there's a 90% chance you are going to get put through to a moron. Why even have someone operating the phones that isn't aware of processes. I will be closing my account asap

Help me please!!!!!

My account has been blocked for 8 days now due to "unusual activity" My account has been run in exactly the same way for over 20 years and while part of me is glad of the vigilance, to deny access for this length of time is a joke. I have no access to any other funds and go on holiday in 2 days, but nobody seems to give a toss. We are pensioners and have no access to any funds. Why can't someone come back to me and tell me what they want me to do. Absolutely awful customer service!!!

Frustrating

Since the new app has been installed I have been having problems logging on. At the moment I can't log on atall and the IT team are looking in to it this is the second time I have been trying to log in in a week the first time I had to reinstall the app which worked for a few days and now who knows how long before they sort it this time. Bring back the old spp

What have santander done to the app

What have santander done to the app, it's just a confusing mess instead keeping it simple they've tried to make it fancy looking but not user friendly. Put it back to what it was so much easier.

Carlisle branch.
Customer service needs Improvef 200 % ! Training the new staff is crucial so they do not put both feet in my circumstances . The trainee is lucky to still have her job today after her blunder .
Listen to customers please .. you only work part time . Put your time to good use that’s what you get paid for !!

Smooth ISA opening and transfer

Opened ISA a year ago online with help from Shrewsbury branch staff as I didn't have a computer.
A year on, I decided to transfer out to a building society as they didn't have another good deal, unfortunately.
The transfer took 2 days from the request, impressive.
At the time of the ISA account opening, I was issued with logins details but when was never able to access my account "error with system, please try later"...hence why 4* instead of 5.
Will be happy to go back to Santander, and thank you to the helpful staff at Shrewsbury

I recently opened a Santander current…

I recently opened a Santander current account. In that time, I have received a few customer service emails that are blank and advise me to download Adobe to read them, I downloaded Adobe the emails are still blank. I called Santander 3 time spent over 30 minutes on the telephone and gave up.

Poor access to own account

I was trying to renew my motor insurance online with RAC. I attempted to pay twice and on both occasions it was declined by Santander. There are more than sufficient funds in my current account to cover the relatively small amount. My husband made the transfer with no problems from his Barclays account. Another time we had a very embarrassing experience when trying to buy a motorhome from a private seller. We had to visit Santander in person 3 times before they would release our money and the seller obviously became concerned. I note that Santander scores poorly on reviews and I think it may be time for me to consider changing banks

Coincidence? No. I fear there's hundreds out there in same situation.

You just need to read the negative reviews in the past 96 hours on here to realise something is amiss - and it's not the customers.

They've gone and buggered up the App haven't they? (Santander) OR they've gone paranoid and pointing their gun at anyone and everyone.

Out of the blue, just like that, decided to block me out of my own account? For no valid reason.

At this vital time when I need access to my account! (I really can't stress this enough without explanation)

One more thing - the app has got to be the most outdated and poorly designed out there where verification takes weeks..

Getting in contact with FCA, no mucking about.

New App rhymes with something beginning CR

Had to update the present App to the new one, after finally getting to my accounts after photos and other rubbish I wanted to pay a cheque in and found I can't.
This is about the only thing I use the App for and now can't. What is the point of updating the App if it will not do the job especially when the old one worked.
It's just getting worse.

This bank is a disgrace. Reducing interest rates on savings accounts whilst at the same time increasing rates on mortgages. Disgusting.

Cards cancelled whilst in Texas

Recently while in Texas, Santander blocked both my credit and cash cards. They do not have to tell that your cards are blocked! You only find out when they are refused. My son tried to get them to contact me by the email address they have on file. They did send a text to say that I recognised the transactions to which I replied I did. I could not phone as my sim cards just cut me off. I have been given £50 compensation. I am 82 years old and travelling solo. Thanks to the kindness of strangers I managed for the last six days of my holiday.

Absolute sharks with zero customer…

Absolute sharks with zero customer service skills. BTW - I'm Indian and their call centre is in India.... It is not a helpful call centre at all.

They charged me interest 3 times in the space of 1 week and the agent could not articulate why. She was so useless that after telling her 3 times that I do not wish to speak with her anymore she kept saying "let me try to explain". I asked for a manager and was refused.

FSA need to investigate these sharks...

Do NOT bank with this bank. Stay with the pros instead.

Repeatedly blocked my mother's account…

Repeatedly blocked my mother's account even though she passed all their jumping through hoops security
Now they have locked her account unless she presents herself to a branch to prove who she is they closed our local branch the nearest is now in the next town to her she is 88 years old and housebound but they don't care she MUST go to the branch or have no access to her money we don't know what to do now

Can't log in

Can't log in. New app only installed last night. Barely 12 hours and I'm having problems. Just keep putting in my security code and it takes me back to the beginning. Eventually got in after fifth try, but that's only because I had to restart my phone. Why did they have to mess with things? The old app was fast, efficient, clear, it did everything I needed it to. Very bad decision by Santander. Why complicate things that are already working just fine?
