To Turn Off or Disable Adobe Protected View
Use the following procedures to turn off or disable Adobe Protected View.
To Turn Off Adobe Protected View
1. Open Adobe Reader and click Edit > Preferences. The Preferences dialog box opens.
2. Under Categories, select Security (Enhanced).
3. Under Sandbox Protections, select Protected View: Off.
4. Click OK.
To Disable Adobe Protected View for a Single Document
Use this procedure to disable Protected View for one PDF file.
1. Open Adobe Reader and click Edit > Preferences. The Preferences dialog box opens.
2. Under Categories, select Security (Enhanced).
3. To add an exception, under Privileged Locations, click Add File.
4. Select a file and click Open. The selected file is added to the list.
5. Click OK. A message appears to save changes in Adobe Preferences.
6. Click OK.
Follow these steps to disable Protected View for multiple PDF files in a folder.
1. Open Adobe Reader and click Edit > Preferences. The Preferences dialog box opens.
2. Under Categories, select Security (Enhanced).
3. To add an exception, under Privileged Locations, click Add Folder Path.
4. Select a folder and click Open. The selected folder is added to the list.
5. Click OK. A message appears to save changes in Adobe Preferences.
6. Click OK.
