Pembangunan projek e-pembelajaran atas talian memberi peluang kepada pensyarahkaunselor untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam kursus kaunseling. Artikel ini menghuraikan integrasi Morpheus dalam kursus Kemahiran Asas Menolong sebagai sistem sokongan di dalam meningkatkan proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Morpheus merupakan satu sistem perisian sumber terbuka yang dapat menguruskan kursus secara atas talian yang digunakan di Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS).  Projek e-pembelajaran ini dibangunkan sebagai sokongan bagi Kursus KMC 1083 Kemahiran Asas Menolong.  Projek e-pembelajaran yang dibangunkan ini termasuklah menyediakan nota kuliah, rangka kursus, perancangan kursus dan panduan tugasan kursus.  Aktiviti-aktiviti yang dibangunkan menggunakan aplikasi Morpheus termasuklah Biodata Saya, Refleksi atas Talian, Latihan Kemahiran Asas Menolong dan Aktiviti Chat.  Selain dari itu, pensyarahjuga berkongsi isu-isu pengajaran dan pembelajaran secara maya melalui pautan blog yang diletakkan di dalam Morpheus.  Pelajar juga di minta memuat naik tugasan melalui aplikasi Turnitin yang terdapat di dalam Morpheus.  Sistem Morpheus mempunyai reka bentuk yang menekankan aspek pembelajaran secara aktif dan komprehensif bagi menggalakkan interaksi dalam kalangan pelajar.  Inovasi di dalam projek e-pembelajaran ini diharapkan dapat memberi dimensi baru dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran secara maya bagi kursus kaunseling.

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of psycho educational group to improve emotional intelligence (EI) among adolescent girls. Quasi-experimental design had been selected by researcher to investigate this study. 24 adolescent girls from Kota Samarahan City who possess moderate level of EI through the pre-test had been selected randomly to be the sample in this study. 12 of them were categorized as treatment group and participated in psycho educational group intervention, whereas another 12 of them were considered as control group and did not receive any group intervention. 10 modules had been developed by researchers as the treatment tools for the psycho educational group intervention. The findings indicated that respondents had significantly improved level of overall EI performance, but did not have any significant improvement for the four components of EI (perception of emotion, managing own emotion, managing others’ emotional and utilization of emotion) performance. For the control group, the overall EI and four components of EI performance remain and did not demonstrate any significant improvement. As indicated by the result of this study, psycho educational group can improved adolescents emotional intelligence performance.  There is a need for counselors to apply this intervention programs in wide variety of settings ranging from school to community, as a simple and safe intervention to improve adolescents emotional intelligence.

This research aimed to determine the correlation between level of depression, anxiety and stress among counselling students at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. This research adopted a correlational study with a quantitative approach in order to observe the correlation between the variables. Eighty six (86) respondents participated in this study. The study was conducted using Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21) instrument. The result showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of depression, anxiety and stress among counselling students at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. This research also provides awareness towards the counselling students on their level of depression, anxiety and stress. For future research, it is suggested that personality test and scoring test be conducted for level of depression, anxiety and stress in order to see the correlations between variables.

Research questionnaires are not always translated appropriately before they are used in new temporal, cultural or linguistic settings. Thus, the results based on such instruments may therefore not accurately reflect what they are supposed to measure. Gjersing et al., (2010). This study aims to modify the Counsellor Performance Inventory (CPI) by Iannelli (2000) into Malaysian context.
