Cannot add Virgin credit card

I just tried adding my credit card but it was refused. My bank says retailers must now use something called '3D Secure', so I am assuming this is the problem. Does Paypal plan to support this? If so, what is the timeline?

We do currently support 3-D Secure. Please make sure your card is compatible to be used on PayPal. You can read more information on this here. 

Here are also some troubleshooting steps you can try if you are unable to add the card.

Thanks. I am pretty sure it is a problem at Virgin. Their help pages say to contact the vendor first but I'm getting other problems too so I'm pretty sure it's their end.

Looks like Virgin have sent me a new card even though the old one hasn't expired yet. I have managed to add the new one. Was nice of them to deactivate the old one a week before the new one arrived without telling me.

Ive just added my Virgin Credit Card.

Try logging into Paypal account on pc/mac - follow steps to add card- the Virgin Money will then send a message to your phone with a one time passcode to complete secure registration.
