Anonymous: Hey i got called for cast on! What does this mean? Do they consider me to actually model for the brand? This is like a dream come true for me :)

this means you might be able to go to a casting since you’re on the list.  there’s a chance you could!  given there are 232543524653 models in the US on their store’s cast-of list, but there’s still a chance!  good luck!

I’m pretty sure red doesn’t mean it’s overriding your availability, because my availability is set to any day, any time and my times are in red sometimes anyway.

I think another A&F blog mentioned that the red means the shift was added after the initial schedule was approved by the DM and the manager decided to redo it.

Maybe red can mean either: scheduled against your availability and editing the schedule after approval.

whereareyouallnow-blog-blog: hey, I am an impactor for A&F and "replenishment general" is just a normal impact shift. Its like pulling USR's and replenishing what is missing on the floor. C= "call in"; T="task" and R="regular" on the normal schedules but for impact I noticed recently online they have "impact call-in, task, replenishment general, & stockroom general" I hope that helps the other person who asked the question :)

thank you SO much for helping on that one (:

Anonymous: for the anon who asked this: "on my anfcorp schedule online some of the times of work are in red, what does this mean? Im so confused" when the time is in red it means that you're scheduled when you are not available. usually that doesn't happen, but since school is about to start i'm thinking that they need a lot of workers so they're just overriding the system.

Anonymous: hi! so i was the anon that asked about the outfit questions for an interview a few days ago.. i went in for my interview today and just thought you would like to know how it went :) first off, i ended up being the only one for the interview. i saw the sheet of people supposed to be in the group interview with me and there was about 4-5 people not there. i was actually quite relieved.. i hate group interviews. i had to wait about 15 minutes before they interviewed me because they were waiting for people and then the managers had to have a chat with security about something.. so the interview part went well even though i was nervous. it was super chill and the manager interviewing me was really cool. when it was all over he just up and offered me the position! he said that normally the company wouldn't let them do that but apparently they need help with the end of "back to school season." aaand obviously i accepted! i ended up wearing a white tank ruffles all across it with bootcut jeans and black flip-flops. he said that what i wore was pretty much like the AAA's now but just with skinnies instead. idk how many hours i'll get yet, but he said that there are people working anywhere from 30 hrs a week to only one shift a week. i have another retail job (like four stores down from ANF) that gives me about 20-25 hrs a week so i guess it doesn't really matter.. also i'm going to college in 2 weeks (which is why they wanted to get me trained in right away) and they said that i would just transfer, but i read on either this blog or a different one that you have to do the interview process again? do you know if thats true? anyways, it was really unexpected but i got the job!! and he said that i'll know my schedule for next week by the end of the night! ha excited and nervous at the same time.. and i just hope it doesn't get too crazy with my other job, but thankfully my old boss is really understanding and the ANF manager seemed pretty relaxed when it came to when i could and couldn't work. sorry this ended up being super long, but i just thought i would let you know! :) and thank you for your help!!!

aw that’s so great!  i think i know which tank top you wore…i bought it yesterday!  so cute.

i’m glad everything worked out so well for you.  i used to only get two shifts a week and now i work pretty much every day, so with time, you’ll see yourself on the schedule more often as your managers get to know you.  i’m going back to college next week, too, and at the mall i’m transferring back to you don’t have to re-interview (you just have to have a quick ten-minute chat with the manager to discuss how long you’ve worked, which areas you’re most proficient, transferring tax forms etc. etc…) but i guess it just depends on the mall.  i would definitely transfer if i were you, especially since you’re new and it will be a good opportunity to learn the ropes.

so glad you got the job!  go ahead and buy one AAA outfit.  it will be expensive since you need pretty much a whole outfit being new and all, but i wear basically the same thing every day so i get my money’s worth.  grab some rubber flipflops (they’re on sale right now), some dark skinnies, and one of the AAA cardigans.  you’re all set!  good luck!

Anonymous: SO, I was school shopping and I thought it would be smart to get some jeggings since I work at AFkids. I ended up getting dark wash jeggings that aren't AAA, don't think it will be okay?

ok for school, or for work?  if they’re not AAA, it’s not the end of the world.  AAA jeans are not 100% necessary, as long as they are dark, skinny, and not destroyed.  i can pretty much promise you’ll be fine!

Anonymous: What are some of the most popular things at A&F? for womens?

our navy sweater with the white stripes on the shoulder and the felt ‘A’ on the pocket has been ridiculously popular, as well as the navy cropped blair blazer.  we pretty much made the women’s white stephanie tank into a AAA (almost all the girls bought it) and a lot of women buy the tiered, ruffled arielle top.

(the first sweater is no longer available online, but the prices of the rest are $140, $48, and $68 respectively.)  i hope this helps!  ps: my favorite jeans are the dark rinse destroyed erin skinnies (:

Anonymous: I have no clue on what to wear for my interview next week :/ what should i wear?

for mine i just wore an anf vneck and anf skinnies with rainbows.  wearing the clothes helps.  just try as hard as you can to look like you could work there.  this doesn’t necessarily mean wearing white/gray/navy/converse etc etc, just make yourself presentable!  if you’re a girl, i’d go with a skinny jean as opposed to a boot cut, and definitely wear flipflops.  my interview was extremely laid back, so i’m thinking yours might be as well.  let me know what happens!

liciouslina-blog: what does cast-of mean ?

it’s just a list of disgustingly attractive store models that could potentially attend a casting call for a&f ad campaigns.
