I've been with Names a long time - nearly 20 years. And I stay with Names because of the excellent customer and technical care and service that I have always received, most recently this last week.

To say 'thank you' somehow doesn't seem enough. But it's the best I can do! Particular thanks this week to Kieren Flack for doing what seemed almost impossible.

Roland answered my call relating to my business emails going into spam - he was really helpful & patient.
Would recommend him any day!
Whether it worked or not remains to be seen, but he explained
that I could call back & they'd look into it again if the solution didn't work.

I would like to cite Roland (obviously cannot use his second name) for his very patient and thorough approach. My task was to transfer DNS settings for getting my website online, he cut straight through the contradictory information i found online and just got the job done. Very grateful.

very poor service, password reset doesnt work, no email address to contact anyone. Internet based but wants you to call up. Its a joke. Renewal prices are astronomical. Other companies like 123-reg and 20i charge much less. They charge to move a .co.uk domain which is free to change the ipstags. Cant log in to the account to cancel anything. Never again...

AMAZING SERVICE...EXCEEDED MY WILDEST EXPECTATIONS

My (business) life revolves around my laptop, even on holiday. For the first 2 days of my holiday in Spain, I have been unable to send/receive any emails. Nightmare. Password reset would not work.

Nat at Names, via a telephone call, came to my rescue and was able to do a password reset at the Names end, and it worked...... amazing. I cannot thank Nat enough. I wish I could buy him a drink as a thank you!! Richard

Tried to scare me into buying SSL

Emailed me about a "security issue" that might require them to shut my website if I didn't make contact within 7 days to resolve it. Dropped everything to speak to them - turned out they wanted to flog me [very expensive] SSL, which I have previously explained that I have no need for.

Despicable - avoid.

ive been with Names co 25 years,my…

ive been with Names co 25 years,my website was not working recently due to ssl dv ? that does not run out till tomorrow,my 25 year old site does not take payments and has always been secure feel like im being forced to pay £44.39 then my sites trustworthy....i feel like us website owners are being robbed and theres nothing we can do,all Names co Phone lines do not work so theres no one you can talk too despite the numbers still being advertised on there sites

SSL certificates play a key role in ensuring your website remains secure and trusted. Without a valid SSL, modern browsers will mark your website as “Not Secure,” which can be alarming to visitors. In some cases, search engines may also limit visibility or warn users before they access your site.

I ordered a domain name from here.

I ordered a domain name from here.

My account was verified and my card was charged for the domain.

Hours later my order was deleted with the following explanation.

We appreciate you reaching out to us.

""Unfortunately, we were unable to proceed with your order due to an alert raised during our anti-fraud verifications. Consequently, your order has been removed from our system, and any deducted funds will be automatically reimbursed to you. The requested services will not be activated.

I contacted them and they told me the refund would be issued within 30 days, but I didn't receive it.
I then contacted them again and they told me it might take an additional 30 days. Six months have passed and I still haven't received my refund.
I'm writing this review of the service not to get a refund, as it's a small amount, but to prevent others from falling into the trap.

It's important to note when an order is rejected the pending funds are automatically pushed back into your account.

This does not show on your account as a refund, rather it disappears from the pending payment section as it was technically never taken.

How do they stay in business? Nothing works

This company is a complete disaster, not 1 of their coupon codes work! Worse they charged me for a domain and nothing has been delivered - so I feel fleeced.

Ended up going to GoDaddy and buying the domain I paid these jokers to buy and had to in effect buy it again. Does anyone know how they stay in business?

Exceptional service

Have been with these guys for years buy they (Josh) excelled themselves today helping me get a new domain set up for personal emails. Josh was brilliant in explaining all options and helping me find exactly what I needed. He could not have been more helpful - answered all my questions simply and clearly for both the new domain and also clarifying some things on my existing domain services. Love these guys!

Good quality services but one thing I don't like about it.

The website is fast and the services have good quality. But there is only one thing not good with this website. When you purchase a new service like domain it won't be done immediately after payment. You have to wait for days for it to be manually approved. It's so much frustrating.

Renewed and requested a refund! poor service

Purchased a domain name a year ago and had auto renewal off.

Never done anything with the domain name and they can see this, I have just checked my credit card and they have renewed, I am in 30 days and as just noticed I requested they cancel and refund.

Some reason my renewal button was activated!

I have been told no and even reviewed by a manager.

I have called my credit card company and they have resolved the matter for me, shocking they have to assist and Names.co.uk didn't want to help!

Guess I won't be using them again.
