Online shopping services of the Navy Exchange and the Army and Air Force Exchange Service are now available to Department of Defense and Coast Guard civilian employees and retirees.

The move expands the in-store access granted to current civilian employees back in May.

The move means more than 500,000 civilian employees and retirees have access to the exchanges’ online stores: myNavyExchange.com and ShopMyExchange.com.

“Expanding online shopping to a new group of authorized customers will allow us to increase our contribution to Navy quality of life programs which will greatly benefit our military community.” said Robert J. Bianchi, chief executive Officer at the Navy Exchange Service Command.

The exchanges had to update coding in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System in order to expand access to the online stores.

To access the online store for shopping, DoD and Coast Guard civilian employees will need to sign up for an account using their DoD ID or last four digits of their Social Security number and birth date.

To shop online, civilian employees and retirees must have a U.S. mailing address.
