Library Instruction Program

In the Fall of 2021, the NMSU Library launched the NMSU Library Resources tab in Canvas. We're excited about the enhanced level of engagement and assistance this tab brings to our students from directly within Canvas. Thank you to our wonderful friends in Academic Technology for helping us get the tool up and running this semester!

This tool will eventually (in Spring 2022) replace the other library-related tabs currently in Canvas.

The NMSU Library Resources tab offers a direct link to some of our Library services within Canvas. Because our system integrates with and talks to Canvas, it will automatically populate the tab with some subject-specific services from the Library. At the very least, the NMSU Library Resources tab is designed to include:

• Current Library Hours
• The A-Z Database List OR a list of Subject-Specific Databases related to your course topic
• Book a Study Room Form
• Chat directly in Canvas with an NMSU Librarian
• NMSU Library FAQs search

As we work on editing the tool, some classes will also start to see:

• Academic program Subject Guides
