STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — New York City is expanding its Gifted and Talented program to every school district starting next school year, along with changes to which students will be eligible and how the admissions process will work.

Mayor Eric Adams and Schools Chancellor David C. Banks announced on Thursday that the changes are part of the city’s work to increase equity among students citywide.
