Claim your Pace University Academic Pass to the New York Times website:

The Pace University program is a proxy site license - you can claim an academic pass with your personal or Pace issued email address.

• Already have a paid subscription to NYTimes.com?
  • You must cancel your paid subscription to take advantage of the Pace license: connect with a chat agent at nytimes.com or call 800-698-4637 (NOTE the Academic Pass does have some limits to content, see below)
  • After cancelling, click here to claim your pass
  • Below "Create an Account" click "Already have an account - Log In"
  • Input email address and password used for your personal NYTimes.com account – this will connect your account to the Pace Academic Pass

  • Input email address and password used for your personal NYTimes.com account – this will connect your account to the Pace Academic Pass

NOTE: if you prefer NOT to connect your personal account to the Pace Academic Pass, be sure to LOGOUT of your personal NYTimes.com account, then click here, but click the “Create an Account” button and use your Pace email address to create the new account

Once you've claimed your Academic Pass, simply visit NYTimes.com and login to view content OR go to the Pace Library database listing, choose New York Times Online and login to view content

Smartphone Apps:

Your Academic Pass includes access to The New York Times via the NYTimes smartphone apps. To download your smartphone app, visit: nytimes.com/mobile

Mobile apps for tablets are not part of the Academic Pass. However, you can access NYTimes.com formatted for mobile users by visiting mobile.nytimes.com using your smartphone or tablet browser.

Limits to Content:

NOTE: The Academic Pass does not include e-reader editions, NYT Cooking, New York Times Games, Premium Crosswords or The New York Times Crosswords apps. NYTimes apps are not supported on all devices. Access to archived articles within the date range 1923-1980 is limited. 

For access to historical issues of the New York Times (1851-5 years ago), Pace users should continue to use the New York Times Archive database available from the Library website. (Pace credentials required)
