The right information for the right procedure.

PackManager® helps you take control and make more informed decisions in real time by providing valuable information about your procedure pack program and inventory levels. You will see several key icons frequently: Usage alert – Identify packs with a forecast of plus or minus 30 percent of the last month’s usage, or monthly planned usage Pack images – Step-by-step imaging of how the pack is built Savings opportunity – Discover packs identified as savings opportunities, and identify potential opportunities to reduce pack prices

The my packs home page provides: • Pack history and usage • Pack descriptions and details, which include complete bill of materials • How many packs are in the distribution center • Real-time inventory for Cardinal Health distribution customers, in addition to items in production and in transit

The pack details pages include each and every line item that a specific pack contains. With the increased awareness of latex sensitivity, you’ll be able to easily identify components with latex.

The pack details pages provide:

• Component quantity • Component unit of measure

Latex flag – Indicates that a component contains, or may contain, latex

• Cardinal Health part number

Pack images – Shows step-by-step imaging of how the pack is built

• Latex status • Part description • Vendor part number

Exports the pack detail information to an Excel® spreadsheet in the same format

• Vendor name

Version compare – Understand the difference between versions of the same pack (example: version A to B) Latex flag – Indicates a component contains, or may contain, latex

Savings opportunities

Side-by-side pack comparison is available for your convenience.

A penny saved is a penny earned.

With this feature, you can run a side-by-side comparison of multiple procedure packs in Excel®, allowing you to identify similarities and differences between packs. For example, if you have two different orthopedic packs for two different doctors, you can run a report that will show you the side-by-side comparison of the pack’s contents, allowing you to identify potential cost savings and standardization opportunities.

The pack compare page provides:

• Ability to see exact or similar component matches • Opportunities to standardize • Access to detailed report comparisons

You’re always under pressure to keep your costs down. PackManager’s® savings opportunities helps you identify ways to lower the cost of your procedure pack. You have the flexibility to look at just one pack, or see what the opportunity is for your entire facility. Once you’ve identified where your opportunities are, you can see what components are driving the most savings.

The savings opportunities page provides: • Components with potential savings • Packs with savings opportunities • Estimated end sell price after savings* • Estimated annual savings

In addition to comparing your custom packs, you can also compare a custom pack to a Cardinal Health standard pack.

What if…

Quickly identify standardization opportunities in your existing packs to help cut costs and streamline your clinical practices and supply chain.

What if you could make your own changes?

Having a difficult time standardizing items across your supply chain? Want to identify all the different items used in your procedure pack program and look for standardization opportunities? Look no further! With the standardization feature in PackManager®, you have access to view all the items used across your procedure pack program, along with usage. You can quickly look for the more commonly used items and consider your standardization options. If you notice you are using five different skin markers, perhaps there is an opportunity to standardize down to one or two.

The standardization page provides: • Ability to review, print and download detailed reports to help you make informed decisions

With PackManager’s® “What if” capabilities, you can make changes to your custom procedure packs when you need to. When you make the necessary changes, an email with your requested changes is sent directly to your Cardinal Health sales representative.

• Ability to identify item standardization opportunities

• Access to drag and drop components from “search” to “add,” using the PackManager® parts search • Ability to delete a component from your bill of material • Option to replace the current component with a different component • Ability to change the quantity of the current component

Product quality report

Pack images

A quick and easy way to report any defective products.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

You can submit product quality concerns on your Cardinal Health packs quickly and easily from this page. In addition to completing this online report, please save the affected product. The concern is submitted to your sales representative for further processing, and if necessary, your sales representative will contact you about returning the defective product.

The product quality report page provides:

• Ability to include images of the affected product and details of the issue

See how your Presource® procedure packs are built from the ground up. When you are viewing pack images, note the component at the top of the list is pictured to the right of the list (see below).

• Opportunity to specify credit or replacement

The pack images page provides: • Frame-by-frame slide show showing where each component is placed within your pack. • Training for your new employees on how the custom packs work, and how they fit within your facility.

1 How do I register for PackManager®? Go to packmanager.com and complete the registration form. You will receive a user ID and password within 48 hours.

2 Why can’t I find all my packs listed when I look at my pack inventory? You may not have the rights to view all of your facility’s packs. Contact your sales representative for further visibility.

3 How do I get my user ID and password? Click on the link from the login page that says “Forgot User ID/Password.” Complete the form and send it to the Help Desk, or call 800.326.6457.
