Worst bank ever. I tried to make a Zelle transaction, and because of it, they froze my funds for five months for fraud investigation. Not only that, they froze my disabled daughter's account as well because I am the payee. It is super ridiculous to freeze my daughter's account while investigating the validity of a transaction in my main personal account. Once the issue is resolved, I am shutting down my account and my daughter's account for good. Never do business with Dollar Bank; avoid the hassle.
I have been with this bank for over 20 years and because someone tried to make a deposit into my account, this is the second time they have shut down my account 1500 miles away from home, leaving me on the road with no money and holding my direct deposit. I'm going after Dollar Bank with an attorney to the fullest extent. The first time they shut it down was because I used my card at Home Depot. I would not recommend this bank to anyone, especially knowing I have no family. Twice they stranded me in Texas, and they hold your direct deposit until something goes through so they can charge you several overdraft fees. I have recorded every phone conversation. I sent everything to my attorney. I also have a slander case against them because of the disrespect and ignorance of their employees. I don't recommend this bank to anyone.
I used to work for dollar bank and I am also a customer and have been for years. They are very outdated. Almost all banks that I know of offer 2 day early direct deposit and also peace of mind where if you overdraft you have 24 hours to make bring your account back to zero or a positive balance and you will not be charged an overdraft fee. The last few months I have been having issues with things coming out of my account early and noticing an overdraft and clearing it up immediately and dollar bank still takes it upon themselves to charge an overdraft fee the next day causing another overdraft. They are money hungry and customer service is useless. I went into a branch last week and was told since I cleared up the overdraft prior to a fee being issued I shouldn’t have to worry about the fee. The next day a fee was applied, thankfully I had gotten paid that day or my account would have been negative again. I left dollar bank as an employee in 2019 and at this point I will be leaving as a customer because I am over it.
Very poor bank. Ok if you are just looking for basic average bank. I had a Verizon scheduled for same day as my direct deposit goes in. Verizon pulled money hours before direct deposit went in and they charged me with a NSF fee. Called them and most banks would just wave this especially being fist time. OF course dollar bank doesn't do this because they are a basic bank who does not take care of customers.
You literally have to be rude and ask for a supervisor to have a fee waived that’s what I had to do and it shouldn’t even come to that. I’ve explained I used to work for the bank and I know what can and can’t be done and I was not taking no for an answer

They have Overdraft my an account 4-6 times now with money in there leaving them as soon as possible. Highway robbery at its finest
Saver beware. With all the programming out there Dollar bank can’t or won’t text u a warning that u fell below their $20k limit. For over 10 months they withdrew $25 from my savings account. Granted I should have checked my monthly reports but who looks at a savings account. They politely took over $250 out of my savings. Funny how they manage their low bearing savings account to know when you exceed the $20k and they text you when any activity occurred on my account even when they give their 0.18 cents monthly interest. But they NEVER sent me a notification when they removed $25 from my account. The branch did credit me 2 months but said they were not able to go back any further than 60 days. When I contacted Pittsburgh customer service they said they couldn’t do nothing for me. The encouraged me to talk to the branch because they can go back 90 days. Pittsburgh customer service could only credit me on insufficient funds. Wait I have the money and they are taking from me, but they are giving the person who over drew their account a break. This is pure corporate greed. Dollar Bank doesn’t put their customers first. Another odd and disturbing thing is your checking and savings accounts have the same number. This is frightening. Once some has access to your checking account they have access to your savings as well. I am closing my 3 accounts!!! I am posting this on all my social media accounts.
Have a secure card and takes 5 to 7 days to clear a payment absolutely will never do banking with them ever again . Went to local bank and got approved for okstandard credit card no fee .goodbye Dollar Bank
Dollar bank has always been there to help me out when needed. I am greatful for their positive attitude and I look forward to working with them in the future for all my finance needs
After being a customer for over 40 years, never had a problem until a couple of days ago. Drive through teller comes back after telling me I gave her $1150 when I know for sure I gave her $1200. The branch manager says they have never had that happen. Well, I'm going on record to say it has happened. It happened to me. He was very rude, inconsiderate and dismissive.

Seriously the worst bank to deal with. Rude employees over the phone can't even explain what's going on or how to resolve an issue. All I got was long wait times, rude ghetto talk back and attitude, bounced back and forth from department to department. My issue was never resolved. NEVER AGAIN!
i give a hundred negative stars. borrowed 5 or 6 times with dollar bank maybe almost half million, for over ONE MONTH unable to access to pay my bills, and dollar bank has the "e-statments" to let me know when my bills are due but bc i cannot access their site my bills are late. i have windows 10 & 11, have sarris and cell phone app NONE of these work. had a comp geek check my speed, my cookies etc said its on them. imo dollar bank went down the toilet the past 3-4 years. will be moving my money to a bank that has more support w web issues. funny i have 3 bank accounts and only dollar bank has the issue that i cant get on. will not miss them when i pull out my money
