Customers of two local banks have been panicking after their services were down for over a day.

Though DBS Bank and subsidiary POSB Bank announced this morning that all services including transferring money and checking transaction history had been restored at 2am, customers said they were still experiencing difficulties this morning.

“Still can’t get access, bruh. You need to restore your services so we can restore our faith in your bank lol,” Gregory Nicholas Glass wrote this morning.

“This is really bad. You are hurting small business everywhere using your bank. It’s been a day. Please hurry,” Chupszz Chupszzy wrote this morning.

The systems have been down since 10am yesterday, according to multiple reports on the Downdetector site. At around 3pm yesterday, the banks apologized online for “some” users facing “intermittent slowness” and said they were working to resolve it.

That was gilding the lily, customers said.

“[I] think it’s not just some and it’s not intermittent. It’s completely down,” Edmond Phon wrote yesterday.

“I have been using your service for many years already, never disappointed like this before. We really need to access our account asap,” a Pale Pink wrote yesterday.

DBS Bank did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.

Some users also expressed frustration about not being able to pay for car servicing, mani pedi appointments, facials, or even make payroll.

“This is simply ridiculous. My workers are still waiting at the ATMs for their money. They have been waiting aimlessly since 4:30pm when they ended work. Some of them need the money to top up their EZ-Link cards and to settle dinners for themselves and families,” A Riko Cubethree wrote yesterday.

After this story was published, DBS Bank reached out to say the problem had returned, and they were attempting to resolve it.

“Services were restored early this morning. Unfortunately yesterday’s digital banking issue has recurred and this has affected our services. We know this has affected many of our customers, and we are doing our best to resolve the situation,” the company told Coconuts in a statement.

Update: This story was updated with a response from DBS Bank.
