I just want to say I am very glad there's a (admittedly small and hard to see) skip button on the new launcher. I would not have been very happy with a mandatory always online login procedure after going so long without one in this game.

After all, we all know always online is anti-consumer, corporate control freak nonsense because we can't depend on any company's servers to be always online, and if they can't be always online, how can they expect us to? Isn't that right, Sim City?

Edit: Tested it in offline mode. I could still play.

I'm unsure why they're using a launcher to be honest.

The launcher helps us give visibility to updates, new content, etc for players across multiple stores

But yeah, you're not required to be online or anything like that, haha

It would actually be very nice to see the concept of the launcher reconstructed - all of the bad stuff eliminated and made into a true asset for the consumer. Show the rest of the industry how it should be done.

And what bad stuff do you think is there?

It's literally just news for the game, a link to the wiki for information and an optional sign up to the website which also gives you free in-game items, and a game settings link so you can change settings prior to starting the game (which can help with trouble shooting)

What exactly are you asking to have removed?
