I completed my C&P exams on Jan 31st 2019. My case was moving pretty fast but it's now coming to a slow creep. Apparently were still waiting for my last C&P exam results from my general dr who did my exam to send his stuff to the VA! My PEBLO says the VA calls about 2-3 times every week to QTC asking for them but to no avail. Should I utilize the OMSBUNDMAN at this point to light the fire under their ass?

EBenefits still has my status as gathering evidence.

Won't work the contractors are already on notice about late reports by 2020 the IG advised the VA to start canceling contracts from chronically late contractors. Right now they are averaging 30-60 days for IDES service members on getting the exams back to the VA.

Well thats just great. Thank you for the response.
Have you tried calling QTC yourself? I did this morning, and they've told me they're waiting on notes from one of the QTC doctor's, but they are going to follow up this morning with that Dr, with expectation of those notes done by COB today, and they said they would call me back COB today with update/confirmation that notes are done.

I was really surprised by their willingness to share information/initiative to resolve the delay.

I asked my PEBLO if I could just call them myself or go by the office but she said no it wasn’t necessary. Apparently my PEBLOs supervisor is talking to the VA supervisor who is then talking with QTC so i dont want to step on my PEBLOs toes but I may have to.

Did you call the main QTC or your local QTC office?

There's a 1-800 number listed on their website (if you signed up with QTC for their examinee portal website, also lists your account number). Option#2 is to check your claim status:. (800) 682-9701
Representatives are available
6:00am - 10:00pm CST, Monday - Friday
7:00am - 5:00pm CST, Saturdays

Smart move!

after calling QTC yesterday and getting real answers my status in benefits has now changed to review of evidence :)
Oh that is awesome! So happy that you got somewhere!!! I'm a true believer in "Trust but Verify", cause no one's gonna care more about something impacting you than you!

As soon as I posted this my PEBLO called me with my exam results so now I have a few questions.

I'm confused on my ROM for my hips so for the initial rom he has:
Right Hip
Flexion 0-90
Extension 0-25
Abduction 0-40
Adduction 0-20
External Rotation 0-55
Internal Rotation 0-35

Pain on ALL examinations for hips

Left Hip
Flexion 0-80
Extension 0-25
Abduction 0-45
Adduction 0-20
External rotation 0-55
Internal Rotation 0-35

Pain on ALL examinations

Flare UPs ROM:
Was exam conducted during a flare up? [No] (I'm constantly in pain)
Right Hip
flexion 0-70
Extension 0-20
Abduction 0-45
Adduction 0-15
External Rotation 0-70
Internal Rotation 0-30

Flare UPs ROM:
Was exam conducted during a flare up? [No] (I'm constantly in pain)
Left Hip
Flexion 0-60
Extension 0-20
Abduction 0-35
Adduction 0-15
External Rotation 0-50
Internal Rotation 0-30

These ROM measurements make it seem like I good range of motion which I don't. when I cross check the militarydisabiltymadeeasy ratings it seems like I wont even get rated for these?

When I did theses I was laying down on my back and laying down on my back extending my feet straight out causes excruciating pain and he told me to move my leg out up down yada yada three times n stop and I remember BARELY moving so how is it theses ROMs are so high?? How TF do they grade theses?

Lastly my PEBLO keeps telling me I can't add on my Migraines for a DOD disability because they meet retention standards because I never had a profile for them but yet I religiously see a Neurologist, take daily medications and when I have a migraine which is about 2 times a week for 3 years now I cant function at all and the verbiage from 40-501 is: g. Migraine, tension, or cluster headaches, when manifested by frequent incapacitating attacks. Yet I have the proof.

Good Morning!

You might want to post this under the conditions forum...might have better luck getting an answer there.

As far as the DOD disability goes, from what I've read in these forums, your best option at this point is to ask for an Impartial Medical Review or appeal the informal PEB to a formal PEB. Use the lawyers that you are entitled to! In a perfect world, this could of potentially been addressed prior to your package going to the DAWG, but I think that depends on how well informed you are on the process and how well informed the PEBLO keeps you of the process. For me, my PEBLO met with me prior to my package going to the DAWG, to discuss my unfitting conditions. I then had a NARSUM completed by a AF MEB doctor, and that NARSUM was sent to the DAWG along with my medical records. Then the DAWG referred me to AFPC Medical Retention Standards, and once they directed a MEB, I then got scheduled for all my C&P exams, and I'm assuming a new NARSUM will be written for those exams.
